Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

It's a unique concept and a different kind of a spa with hot geo-thermal waters filled in different pools with different temperatures. The spa is set aside the Rotorua lake and that makes for the most beautiful spot in Rotorua - a treat to the eyes. Besides, all amenities that might be required are provided inside - showers for men... More

We spent 1.5 hours relaxing in the Deluxe Lake Spa. You have a few mineral pools to choose from, from 36 to 42 degrees. We were lucky that mid afternoon was quiet, and it was as if we had the place for ourselves. When we were leaving a bus arrived with probably 40 people going into the same pools and... More

A perfect place to visit and have a spa. There are a. Umber of options available for couples, adults and families. We chose a private spa which was overlooking the lake. The pool is set in rocks and you are outside with private screens. Very hot! There is a shower provided to cool off

I felt this place was a bit commercial for a spa. When I first walked in, It reminded me of a large public pool in some respects. I went to the spa so we were taken in the back and then it felt more "spa-like". They have a number of different pools at different temps and types. It was a... More

My boyfriend and I spent a few hours here after a long car drive. The pools were nice, clean. We wanted a relaxing afternoon but there were large numbers of seagulls in front of the pools squawking like mad the entire time. Made it not so relaxing. Perhaps this is not the norm but it definitely put a damper on... More

Did not experience the smell of the Rotorua until we went here it was so strong and a little off putting! However me and my boyfriend got a deluxe spa only for 30 minutes it was so nice however the swarm of seagulls and the smell put a little damper on the experience I would highly recommend paying the $50... My partner Claire and I enjoyed a beautifully relaxing hour in these wonderful lake side pools Immersing oneself in the hot water whilst watching the sun set was just amazing and a treat everyone should experience at least once

Went following morning walk through a volcanic Valley and stroll around the lakeside to the Spa. $48 entry includes towel and locker. Five thermal pools ranging from 36 to 42 degrees C each with views over the lake. Stayed a couple of hours finishing on the heated loungers to dry off. Lovely relaxing finish to our day in Rotorua and... More

Beautiful lookout onto Lake Rotorua! A bit expensive but worth the money! You have a choice from private spas, communal spas and children areas so there is a comfortable spot for everyone!
