Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lake Rotoma is the furthest East of the Rotorua lakes; it is about 40km from Rotorua via SH30, the Whakatane road. When you head there you'll pass Rotoiti and Rotehu. There is a petrol filling station and a very nice cafe, and the lake is good for boating and fishing.

Our whanau did our usual summer holiday at Awakeri hot springs & the beauty of that is lake rotoma is a half hour drive away. We took the boat out & did abit of trawling for trout which can produce some lovely fish if you're lucky enough to to hook one. Lake rotoma is a lovely lake to spend the day if you're into water sports or just need to take a dip on a hot summers day! Safe swimming for the kids + it has toilets & a playground + a bbq if you're feeling a tad hungry! Great lake to visit if you happen to be passing by! Pack a picnic lunch & enjoy highly recommend :-)

Stayed at lake Rotoma at a Bach, kayaked several times on the lake
Fantastic views
Beautiful clear waters
Top tips
- if going early April, go wild blackberries picking, near the fire station
- take insect repellent, we were bitten to pieces, even out on the lake

Lovely quiet place to stay. good lake, lovely community. Not much to do but just sit by the lake with a coffee or wine.

Hi, I would like to know if there are any Bach owners that are looking for a service that will not only clean their baches but also arrange maintenance to be undertaken etc
