As we were staying at a park at the bottom of the falls we had a great view. We also walked to the top of the falls through the car park. It was good to sit beside the river in the sun and watch fish...More

Stunning and well worth it :) These falls are just off the main road and close to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

The waterfall had plenty of water flowing when we visited. It is a very short and easy walk from the car park.

A nice horseshoe shaped falls. This is a short drive from the Treaty Grounds (or a bit of a long walk).

You can visit these falls by walking as little as 20 metres. Wheel chair accessible, gently sloping path. Falls are maximum of 3 metres high but quite wide. Very pleasant.

One afternoon we walked the track down to Haruru falls and it was a really lovely walking route through the forest, around the river and through some mangroves! The walk itself is easy and is 5km from one end to the other, and it took...More

Lovely walk Around there. Lots of birds. Could do with some more information along the walk. Met a very lovely local chap maintaining the paths.

Always nice to see the falls. And a rainbow at the bottom of it this time. It's not huge but great to go see anyway. Worth a look if yr up in the bay.

Another one of the great falls we visited in New Zealand. The car park shuts at 17:00 but you can park on the roadside. The walk leads to the Haruru track also. The is also alot of birds around the area to watch.

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
