If you enjoy a short, scenic nature stroll this is a good spot! When we arrived we were greeted by all these chickens outside our car. They were friendly and cute. I think they thought we were bringing their dinner. We only viewed the waterfall...More

Easy to access from main road. Turn right just over the bridge into parking and walk the few meters to the river and there they are. Not fabulous but very good.

If you enjoy walking then you can do this interesting walk through the forest, across the mangrove swamp over the board walks and limb up to these waterfalls. Not a difficult walk to do if you are reasonably fit, it will take a couple of...More

They are a nice set of waterfalls but considering all that NZ has to offer they are not that great. Ok if you want to stop and stretch your legs for 5 minutes. Car park not suitable for camper vans.

Don't expect one of the countless falls you can find in NZ. It's a small one. But it has its magic. We could spend a moment there, sitting and enjoying the view and the coolness of the water after a hot day walking in the...More

Just a short drive from Paihia and what was best only a short walk from carpark. Quite a spectacular waterfall. When we were there a young couple were kayaking around the base of the falls which was fun to watch. Worth taking a look at...More

We stopped here on a day trip out of Russell and Paihia and the best thing that can be said for these falls is that it takes very little time to visit. The Falls are only a short diversion off the main drive, and just...More

Quite a cute little waterfall that if you’re driving in the area is worth a quick stop. Don’t go out of your way.

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
