Beautiful views, especially on a clear day. A few shops and cafes along the side - most with a view of the harbour. Would be a nice place to relax, go for a short walk, or have a picnic.

Whilst we were exploring the area, we saw huge Stingray from the jetty and whilst eating at the waterfront, we saw a shark much to our amazement & amusement.

This small harbour is well organised with iSight office there plus all the tour leave here plus of course the ferry to Russell. You can park nearby and is essential to your whole experience in Paihia.

Charming harbour. On the shuttle route, there is a pretty mall with shops and cafes. We were there on a Sunday and there was a good craft market. Check out the nearby Waitangi Treaty Grounds (probably New Zealand's most important historic site). Further afield, it...More

A small harbour with beautiful setting by the local community. Worth to spend time to walk around and have a look on all the facilities.

We stayed across from the harbor and walked through it every day of our visit. Restaurants, ferries, or just to relax...it has what you'd expect.

We are extremely happy with our trip to Paihia Harbour. Clean, nice view, nice restaurants, clean toilets and friendly people. The view is absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to come back in this lovely place.

Even on a soggy weekday, there's no denying the beauty of this part of the world. Make sure you take a cruise - get out on the water and really come to grips with this remarkable corner of NZ.

A small place with a big heart in the Bay of Islands. Places to eat, drink and stay. Nice set of shops and supermarket. So a good place to stop before moving north. Roads are windy.

Sorry we were not there for New Years Eve - spent it in Auckland. Great fireworks there from the Sky Tower building!
