So nice place to chill out in a sunny day time. Nothing much up there. But you can see nice view of Napier port and half of the Napier.

We were going to hike up here, but ended up driving up as a small diversion on our route elsewhere. There's a large grassy area at the top, and a small pretty flower garden. The views are mostly of the port below, which is interesting...More

This was one of the many things we did in our short ( two night ) visit. Supertrike Tours is a MUST do on your list. This is not the original port site, which was interesting to know. The tour does show the original port.

Our home exchange people drove us here when we arrived. The view is lovely, but it is mainly the port that you are looking at. There are hundreds of cargo containers sitting on the port, so it is not a vision of beauty per se....More

Obtained a free leaflet from the isite and followed the directions up Coote Road and to Sturms Gully. It’s a fair climb and we did have to stop once on the way up to let the heart settle. Great view at the top and fascinating...More

Such a great place to view the port in Napier and surroundings, was really busy at the lookout and the view is so good. A must drive up the hill when in Napier.

Pleasant spot. Very quaint. Easy to walk around - easy access to excellent restaurants and bars. Walking distance to the rebuilt area (Art Deco) of Napier after the earthquake in 1931.

Access by car is tricky. The roads up are steep, bendy and narrow. You will have to negotiate stand-offs with oncoming vehicles and even have to go into reverse! We know, we did it this way two years ago. Not for the timid or nervous...More

Take a cab/Uber?? This is a lookout point that we walked to it from our bed & breakfast.
