It is a must do, it is a lovely promenade, with coffee, restaurants, cafes, skate parks, basketball courts, fountains, gardens, sculptures and great concreted paths all along the bay.

If you're a first-time visitor to this Hawke's Bay hub, so close to the famed vineyards and itself famous as the town reborn after a devastating earthquake as an Art Deco marvel, your first stop should be the oh-s-helpful I-site on the Marine Parade. The...More

As regular visitors to Napier we always stay where we can enjoy the walk along the Marine Parade. From the kids driving area to the Soundshell and the gardens. Always well maintained and always attractive.

There are quite a few sculptures/fountains to see; a skateboard area for kids and safe walking/bike tracks. The area is well maintained

pretty much a clean walkway and beachfront. not to congested with shops so that made for a pleasant walk and time in a well laid out Sunken Garden.

This is the long park that was created when the earthquake in 1931 demolished the town and raised the earth 8 feet. Near the aquarium there’s an interesting flat and wide water feature.

What an excellent place for a jog or walk, they have done a great job at making this area very beautiful, it’s quite a stretch of walk but with the ocean and beach to look it’s well worth the time to walk, few places to...More

Lovely walk the whole length of the Napier coast . Numerous well placed seating for those of us needing the occasional rest. Great for watching the world go by.

A really pretty place to stay in Napier great for walks and the beach is so clean - sadly can’t swim at the beach as it’s pebbles with a big drop off and dangerous and unpredictable waves but it’s still lovely to be here

Recently my wife and I spared a few moments on a lovely calm morning to take the opportunity to view and observe some of the beauty and natural heritage which has been created along the Marine Parade Seafront.

Yes you can. It’s about 10 minutes to walk to town centre or you can walk the other direction and walk to Ahuriri beach front, for cafes, and bars.
