Nice entrance

We took a picture of the entrance to Tiffen Park and then took a look at the Theatre, next door. Think we made a good decision, steep walk and not the best views by most accounts.

One needs good legs and an interest in walking steep inclines but if you have it will mean you can enjoy delightful gardens and a view across the area.

Not a great view to be honest but once you get to top continue down Shakespeare St stairs - better views that way.

Pretty walkway at any time of the year, gives a good view across the town. Goes up quite a way so take your time.

Napier was a welcome land adventure after being on our cruise ship for 4 days. Lots of history many things to see on the foreshore and even more once we bussed it into town. Art Deco guided tours if you want them, we went for a meander street sculptures food antique stores and Tiffen Park beautiful garden. Enjoyed the day.

These gardens are on a very steep slope. It was a pleasant enough stroll if you're reasonably fit, but not actually a lot to see/

If you are a visitor, Tiffen Park offers some nice views of the town and some exercise. If you are a local, it is a nice way of getting to the top of the hill on a hot day.

This park is on the side of a hill which makes for an interesting and gloomy climb up the side of the hill. It did not appeal to me but it may to you. If you were elderly, unfit or disabled in any way this is not the park for you. The dirt tracks will be slippery after weather and... More

It did seem to be a strange yet steep park on the side of a hill. Sadly we visited it on a grey and dismal day. However, on a sunny and clear day the views from different stages of the climb to the top and from the top of the park would be spectacular.

If you're into checking out every single park in a town, then of course you have to visit Tiffen Park! The entrance is right by the Municipal Theatre and probably the best part about the park is the gorgeous art deco entranceway framing it. Very pretty! The park itself is completely on a steep hillside, with little trails going parallel... More
