Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Driving past Mission Bay and St. Heliers Beach you reach Achilles Point. You get scenic Bay and Island views. You also get beautiful city views from there. I have been there number of times.

Achilles point has some of the best views in Auckland. You can see the city and the coromandel peninsula. Make sure it is good weather though because there is no shelter.
It is a modern viewing point with a plaque for the ship that it was named after.

The views from here are amazing. This is one of the less publicised locations but very convenient to get to by car from St Helier's. Named after a famous naval vessel the location has a viewing platform that affords a great perspective of Auckland but visit on a fine day when not windy.

Breath taking view with strong winds. Three Maori God statues are present. Very romantic point. The blue sky and the mesmerizing blue green sea will make you forget all your worries

We went there at the end of the day, in the summer... very quiet, not many people. Incredible view of the city and the sunset.

Beautiful view across the straight to Rangitoto and seems to be a very popular place for people to take a picture.

I have lived opposite this attraction for a year and both been a victim and dealt with several others seeking help after thefts.
Thieves routinely hang out there and will take advantage of quiet periods to smash car windows and during busy periods mingle and look for more opportunistic grabs.
The views are spectacular but be wary.

It's a good thing this place is on trip advisor, as it's one of those hidden gems that usually only locals know about. As mentioned - it has great views of the city! There is some free parking here, but as it is on the top of a mount near the sea - it does get rather windy / chilly..

There is a great view from the car park at the top but visiting this site is better if you have the energy to walk down the stairway and along the beach as well.
