Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thank you Roy for another great sim session.
I wanted to hone my manual flying skills of the 737, and you helped me achieve that.
Great instructions through the many circuit patterns.
I'll be back for more.
Cheers
Axel

An amazing experience and can not recommend it highly enough. Roy immediately greeted our young Captain by name on our arrival and gave a very informative pre flight. Alistair had the sim all fired up and throughout the flight gave lots of clear direction and explanation. Thanks guys ... you have added to the inspiration for Clarke.

It was an amazing experience definitely worth giving a try. It was always a dream of mine to be a pilot and captain my own plane but never really had a chance to so coming to fly a jet made a dream of mine become a reality. I had the pleasure of being the captain on the flight simulator with my first officer Roy in the right seat who most definitely made the simulator experience seem more realistic. I did the city flight package and I took off from John F. Kennedy airport and did a few touch and goes at other neighbouring airports before touching down in Philadelphia where I parked and shut down the aircraft. Fly a Jet will definitely be a place I be coming to in the future.

I took the Flyajet Auckland Scenic Flight as the Captain in charge (assisted by my Co-Captain Alister who was handy :)). I loved it. You essentially go through all the cockpit procedures and functions to captain the flight. Of course the 'real' pilot gives you a great briefing prior to takeoff, and then guides you through all the protocols and sequences required to get off the ground, fly for 30 minutes, do a touch and go landing at Whenuapai Airforce base (in my case) and then land back in Auckland International. I was riveted and inspired. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to book another one. If you are intrigued as to what goes on up there in the cockpit, this is a must! It's so realistic and down right cool! Thanks Alister you were a great "co" pilot. Highly recommend this experience.

The whole flight was amazing for my 12-year-old boy who turned 13 today. He said it was really realistic and so fun for someone that hasn't flown before. When he grows up, he wants to be a pilot for a commercial airline, thats why he decided to come here to get a taste of flying before he is actually flying in the skies! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get a taste of flying. Thanks, Alister for instructing Kelvin, he loved it.

My aviation journey really began 5 years ago in a similar simulator (for a different aircraft type). As a student pilot, I decided to give it a go again just to get a head start with what my airline prep might be like. Fly A Jet has CAA-approved simulator, so for those of us who need to log hours, we can do so (for Sim time). The instructors who flew me as co-pilot were extremely helpful in helping me understand the ins and outs of the Boeing 737-800, and did a great deal at putting me at ease during my first time in this particular cockpit. I would also add that your instructors here are qualified pilots with type-ratings.

Especially after I had a particularly bad experience with a flight school, Fly A Jet instructors really helped give me back the confidence boost in my flying that was much needed at this time and helped me believe again that I really could become the pilot that I wanted to be, which was what started me in aviation.

I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of flying school to go through a couple of lessons with Fly A Jet. The key to successful flight training is a positive attitude, mindset and supportive instructors, as well as gradual confidence. My experiences with Fly A Jet were not merely flying the simulator, but also understanding how the aircraft works and how to relate it to what I've already learnt.

You don't have to have any flight experience before going into Fly A Jet, but I can tell you this - when you leave, you'll feel that you've learnt a little bit more than you thought you ever would. It daunting on your first visit, but if you come back a second time, it will come to you just like that.

A word of encouragement - if you ever feel that you didn't too well on your first try, as my Fly A Jet instructor told me, "it takes ten years for a pilot in an airline to sit in the captain's seat, and you did it in one day." Enjoy the experience and have fun!

Would I recommend Fly A Jet? Most definitely. And if your flight experience ignites the desire to do it for real, then take it from me - go for it! Thank you Fly A Jet for reminding me of my passion and love for the skies.

A wonderful bucket list experience for an eighty two year old and his son. Instructions were easy to understand but sometimes I was a bit slow in carrying them out. There was lots of hands on flying- in fact more than we had paid for. Really appreciated Peter and Alistair's professionalism and warm and friendly approach. Must book in a return visit for my ninetieth!

My dad brought this for my plane-mad son as a birthday present. It totally exceeded our expectations in so many ways! My son loved the realistic controls and visuals, instruction from the wonderful Alister and that we got to fly right over our home in the coromandel. Dad and I were 'passengers' so it was a total family experience! Alister was great and explained everything so well. Highly recommend and we will for sure be back!

Alistair and Roy are the 2 pilots on boards and they are brilliant. They explain in depth of how and what to do during the experience and are very experienced, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The flight experience itself was eye opening and shows much a pilot has to do to take off, land and fly these huge chunks of metals within airspace limitations and comply with different city/airport regulations.
