Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

4 boys - 15, 13, 6 & 55. The 6 year old refused to walk through the initial black corridor so this review is written by the rest of the boys as I ended up (with no refund to even ease my bitterness) outside waiting.
Poor communication by staff, lack of awareness about clients (I took the 6 year old up to Daiso to look at the shops and staff told the boys that I was still inside the maze and they just needed to wait for me - for 20 minutes! Before returning their phones and shoes)
The boys reported a narrow maze with a tiny vortex room, a ball pit the size of our couch, a padded room, a slide with uplifted carpet (which ripped open two toes) and some strings to manoeuvre.
Poorly maintained, poorly managed, not suitable for any physical disability.

Hi Luvinsp, Thank you for your review. We appreciate feedback whether it is positive or negative. However, we feel some of your commits where are rather unfair and written by a competitor to sabotage our product. Some of the comments made are wildly embellished and do not reflect the nature or experience offered inside. Finally, our website and staff both clearly state there are no refunds after you have entered the maze. Finally the maze is suitable for those in wheelchairs for which we provide a discounted rate.

Hi, we didn’t have a great experience. I went with my 10 year old daughter. We got stuck in the mirror maze. There was a school group behind us so no staff were watching the cameras. We panicked and exited out of a fire escape. We were told that we could return for another try but when we returned a few days later (at a time when it was quiet with no customers) we were told we had to pay full price. Would not recommend for anyone under 15

It was fun but I ended up with a few bruises and scrapes. It is not designed for people with a few curves. So if you don't have a lot of upper body strength you best have someone with you who does, otherwise you might get stuck. (They should really be more upfront about what to expect within the maze so you know if you are physically able to do it, because once your through those doors there is no way back1)

It's really designed for kids , I can see how they would have a great time but we were in and out within 20 minutes and while its was sort of fun it definitely was too expensive for what it is.

Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience. Whilst we want the maze to be loved by everyone we understand that is not always the case. We do hope that by explaining our products to the customers they can make an informed decision whether this is an experience they wish to undertake. We are sorry to hear that we fell short on this mark. In regards to the pricing, we found our prices are in line with what is suitable to operate our attraction.

I visited Odyssey Sensory Maze with my kids (13 and 11 years) during the school holidays and we all really enjoyed it. My 11 year old son particularly loved it and wanted another turn. I'd advise considering paying for the 1 hour entry option as it was much better value when the kids wanted another turn. Lots of fun!

Hello, Thanks for your four star A-MAZE-ING review. We're excited to hear you and the kids enjoyed their journey. We do agree that the 1 hour re-entry option including our crazy goggle is the best option! Thanks for visiting and for your fantastic feedback.

Great fun for all ages (our group ranged from 30 to 60 years old!). Loved the foam blocks pool and mirror maze in particular. It is quite short so doing it twice is recommended. Don't be afraid to spend time in different areas to enjoy the experience. Would suggest not suitable for folks who do not like confined dark spaces and do note a certain level of agility will be required. All of that said - highly recommended.

I went by myself one afternoon, it was definitely an interesting experience, fun for everyone. Like many have said if you're not a fan of dark enclosed spaces or have a certain agility level then you may want to reconsider. I have hip problems and some rooms were a small challenge. I had lots of fun though, highly recommend! :)

We done the sensory maze in Queenstown. This activity was way over priced for the amount of time it took to go through the maze, and we weren't going fast as we had a 6 year old with us.
Absoutley AWFUL customer service from the young girl behind the counter who looked and seemed bored out of her brain to be there, and that showed through in her rude manner.

We visited as a family of 4 (girls aged 7 & 9) and had so much fun. We booked the first session of the day and were the only ones there which was awesome. First time round took us about 35 minutes and then we went back around in another 20. One room you go through is pitch black so could get scary for very young kids but they have cameras and you only have to wave your hands at them and they’ll let you out the exit.
We are going to try out the one in Queenstown as we had such a blast at this one!!! 😀

I thought this place was great. It was the first 'attraction' I'd been to in a long time where I thought it was definitely worth the money and seemed unique. I've never done anything like this before.

I took my 6 year old son and we got the tickets which allowed us to go through as many times as we wanted in an hour. We also got the glasses but I don't think they enhanced the experience; in fact they were way too big for my son's face and kept falling off so I just put them in my pocket for most of the time.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the sensory maze in QUEENSTOWN. The staff were fantastic. I'll for sure be coming back with other family and friends. Make sure you take your time in each room or pay a couple dollars more for the unlimited.
