Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This review is a little late but I want everyone to know that Ian and Fleur were wonderful tour guides during our stay in Auckland in February this year. Fleur and Ian's love of Auckland is infectious and they knew the best places to visit, away from all the crowds. They were very considerate and kind as my mum had recent surgery on her leg so we couldn't walk long distances. So how perfect that we had booked with Twin Harbour Tours. We arranged a pick up from the airport, city tour and a longer half day tour so that we could really get to experience as much of Auckland and the outer regions as we could. Ian and Fleur love their history and very personable. Thank you:)

We had 2 1/2 wonderful days with Ian. He met us at the cruise terminal, had his daughter collect our luggage and then showed us around the city of Auckland, including his neighborhood, coffee at the yacht club and lunch at a neighborhood restaurant. Then he dropped us at our Airbnb with recommendations for dinner (excellent). The next day we went across the island to see the Glow worm caves, a Mori village and other places of interest. The following day we toured the coastline and saw some beautiful beaches. Ian is a wealth of information and extremely kind. It was a much better experience just having our friends in the car rather than dealing with a bus tour. We found that the cost of the 2 1/2 days, plus a drop off at the airport was not much more than scheduling formal tours. It was totally worth it.

Glad we booked Ian for the last 3 days of our 18 day Australia/New Zealand vacation. It was a fantastic way to finish. Toured the Matakana area on Thursday....great views, pottery, winery and lunch. Friday was a long day but worth every minute. Glow worms...kiwi feeding....capped by geyser and mud pools in Te Pui. On Saturday we were driven to the airport by Fleur...by way of the sights of Auckland. All in all highly recommended....would do it again in a heartbeat....thank you Ian and Fleur!!!

We loved this excursion. Ian and his daughter were a delight and they knew a lot of history and information along the tour. We saw the best of Auckland without all the crowds. The black sand beaches was one of my favorite stops. We walked along the beach barefoot and took great photos. We even stopped at a cafe for a coffee and treat mid morning. It was not a disappointment. We had a 7 hour tour and it was worth every penny!

My buddy and I traveled to NZ on a hunting trip in April. We had a few days in Auckland both prior to and after hunting the South Island. We arranged for Ian and Fleur to handle our multiple transfers to/from the airport to Auckland CBD. Over the course of our trip and the transfers, we rode with both Ian and Fleur. Great people...super personable, great conversationalists, and on-time. Their vehicles were top notch and comfortable.

The best experience was the tour we had on our last full day in NZ. Ian gave us the equivalent of a chef's tour...we saw some great sites on the North Island and had a late lunch with Ian to cap it off. I wish I could find an original way to describe Ian, however, the other reviewers here nailed it as well as anything: It was like taking a tour with an old friend. Ian's knowledge of NZ and the sights coupled with his personality made the day very memorable.
On our last transfer to the airport, we asked to stop at One Tree Hill and Fleur happily took us. Her commentary on the history of the park as well as on the scenic backroads to the airport made it a great last experience in NZ.
I would highly recommend these guys - for transfer and/or tours. Great people.

We had a wonderful time with Ian and Fleur. They were so friendly, it was like we had known them for a long time. Our friend Barbara had recommended Twin Harbours, so we were with them on our first 2 days in Auckland. Fleur was so knowledgeable about everything, no question was too much, and she showed us places we would never have been able to see in Southern Auckland. Ian showed us the lovely beaches and towns on the coast on Northern Aukland the second day. As we are sailors, he also took us to his outstanding yacht club. We were very impressed by their professional, but very kind service and recommend them both very highly.

Husband and I took the 5 hour tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw beaches, small towns, and all the sights you could want to see. The price was very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this tour.

I arranged for a three-hour layover tour on my way back home from Australia to the U.S. Fleur met me at the airport and managed to tell and show me a lot about New Zealand's natural beauty and history despite wet, dark and rainy conditions. Fleur is very knowledgeable, easy to talk with and answered any and all questions I had about the country. I appreciated her positive attitude even though the weather left much to be desired. Would recommend this tour company to friends and family.

Hi - it was such a delightful evening with you, Sarah! It was so unfortunate that it was a black rainy night but I am glad you found some enjoyable elements to your tour. It was a pleasure to meet you and we wish you all the best, Fleur

Ian was a wealth of information while providing a private group tour of Auckland and environs; he was flexible to accommodate the needs of the group while offering recommendations based on his knowledge and experience. The long day trip to Rotorua was outstanding, affording both beautiful countryside and learning about Maori history and culture. The glowworm caves are a must-do. Thanks Ian for a wonderful time and fond memories of our trip.

Hi, thanks so much for this review; we are so glad you enjoyed your tour. There is such diversity over short distances in this part of the North Island, it's lovely that you had the time to spend a whole day with us and see so much. Hopefully we get the chance to look after you again Regards, Ian
