Nic park

This is a nice park to wonder around, not to big, take a picnic or just walk around, close to the city.

One of the 3 large green areas in Auckland, Albert Park isn't very big, but it's well cared for, popular and there are magnificient ancient trees there.

Not that there is a lot of bustle in Auckland but Albert park is a great place to get away, chill, read, walk the gardens etc. It is up the hill from the City so need to be able ot walk that but not an issue for most.

Had a few hours to kill before a flight out of AKL and found the park only a couple blocks (uphill) from Queen Street. Spent a pleasant hour walking the paths, listening to street musicians and enjoying the sun on a park bench. Hard to believe it can be so peaceful right off the commercial center of the city. Recharged... More

Walking from Hobson street this was up a hill (hills seem hard to avoid in Auckland) but well worth the walk. It is a beautiful Victorian style park - a place to chill and relax that is only a stones throw from the main shopping drag. There are some nice flower beds and benches to sit and watch the world... We walked from the museum and ended at Albert Park. This was a really lovely clean, fresh park. It was pleasant to walk around, this large green area. The trees were impressive and the flowers still present even though we were moving into late Autumn.

Albert Park is a haven in the city centre, it's a gorgeous old park by the university, with old buildings, great big old trees, and it's right by the Auckland Art Gallery. The Art Gallery Cafe is good, or you can get food from a local cafe and sit in the park. I love the Chris Booth sculpture (archway made... More

It is right in the middle of the city. Climb up from busy Queen Street you can relax and enjoy the landscape and statue or sit on the bench to enjoy you moment of quiet and tranquility.

This park has a very elegant charm to it. Very busy throughout the day with a lot of employees from the nearby universities using it in summer especially at lunch time.
