Visit here almost every year, food is great as always, fruit and vege section great as well, but the actual stalls themselves, like for t shirts have gone missing. Only 2 or 3 decent t-shirt stalls worth checking out. Atmosphere is always friendly. More range is needed with the stalls. No kronuts stall this time round as it was one... More

This market is great for fresh fruit and veggies shopping as its available weekly. Its located in a central place i.e. you can access it if you are living either in south Auckland or East Auckland or South East Auckland. It has also varieties of arts and crafts and sometimes also good bargains of jewelry.

WOWSA. Truly a magnificent cultural experience. One of the best markets in New Zealand that is steeped in culture, tradition, fun, and friendliness. A unique part of Auckland that haves to be a 'must visit'. The selection of produce, speaking as a Chef, is stunning and is value for money and as fresh as you could grow your own. The... More

I enjoy visiting the Otara market on Saturdays. There is always a good selection of fresh produce there and cry good prices. Many things are organic without the price tag (but you know it by the way they look - not picture perfect). One of my favourite stalls is the tomato one (at the corner in front of the normal... Nothing cultural about this market, the fruit and veg are cheap because it is all number 4 out of 5 grade. Half the stalls are $2 shop items made in china, the surrounding fitness areas will cost you $15 per visit or a membership. Most of the foodstalls do not have refrigeration, so where is all that perishable chicken etc... More

This market provides a different perspective on Auckland with its heavy bias towards Pacific Island culture. The fruit and vege section is huge with a great range of fruit and veges. Th eflea market part sells some souvenirs as well as sunglasses, hats, carpet offcuts, and other bric and brac. The food part has a range from Chinese food, chopsuey,... More
