Bars, restaurants, sunshine, what more do you want, and if you have cooking facilities where you are staying you have to go to the fish market, we spend ages in there and on two separate days we tried fish that we had never had before... fab

This is a great area of Auckland's CBD to visit and explore. Not only are there lots of historic and multi-million dollar yacts that are fantastic to ogle-over. There is a relaxed little 'library' in a container at the harbour that offers visitors a chance to 'borrow' books for vacation reading. A great free attraction!

Lots of bars and restaurant. You have huge selection of foods and bars overlooking yacht basin. America cup racing boats are right in front of harbor. Action day and night.

To see how the other half live and the boats (can you really call them that?!?) they own docked in the harbor.. There are few places to get a drink or a snack as well.

The whole harbour area is a great attraction - you can see and even go sailing on one of the America's Cup Yachts which I guess must be a great experience. You'll be spoilt for choice with restaurants and cafes - there's even a piece of container art. The down side is parking - it's expensive and so suggest either... More

We had a good walk from our hotel to the harbour for great views of the bridge and the varied boats moored in there. Well worth a visit.
