The kids loved this. Lots for little ones to do including a section where certain marine life can be touched, great under water tunnel to watch the sharks etc go over, they also do a feeding show which can be entertaining. We had a great time here and the kids loved it to. Isn't really much competition in the area... More

We take our extended family - aged 1-100 as a group outing every year. There are things for all ages to learn and appreciate and it just gets better and better. The fish exhibits are terrific, swimming with sharks, looks fun although we havn't tried it and walking through the inside of the aquarium with the fish around you is... More

There is a lot more to see, more interactive, and child-friendly exhibitions at Kelly Tarlton's than the National Aquarium of NZ based in Napier. Based underground, it looks like a boring carpark from outside, but inside is wonderful! Penguin exhibit and conveyor tunnel is my favourite. Go for a stroll around the Okahu waterfront once you're done here. Lovely views... More

Great range of activities for children and free entry until they are 3. The new option to scan in their drawings and have them displayed on the giant screen is great. There's also the chance to touch a starfish in the rock pools so don't miss that.

One of a kind place in Auckland. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this place. Tickets are reasonable price. Lots of stuff to see inside. If you have kids they will love this place if not just go have a look this place is very maintained and tells a story of sea world. Place to eat is available.

Went over Christmas break with family, youngest 3 years and it was great. The children are so excited by the penguins; fish etc it is hard to get them out of there. I think we went around the fish tank at least 5 times.

Absolutely worth the pricey admission. Good overall aquarium but exceptional penguin display. also very interesting history of the man behind it all.Would be even more fun with kids but still great fun for adults.

If you are a family and want to see a fine aquarium, this is a good place. Lots of penguins, sharks, seahorses, etc. Very family friendly. Low rating because I picked a scuba diving encounter with sharks, online, and even with their dates online, I arrived only to be told they didn't do this on the specified day they sold... More

Definitely worth the visit if you're a penguin lover and stuck in Auckland. But quite pricey. $$$$$$
