    Sky Tower
Sunset from the sky tower is beautiful, worth a visit. Be prepared its busy & noisy, seemingly a lot of people just sit up there with their cameras on tripod waiting to catch the sunset. they occupy the viewing seats so tourists can’t really sit & watch it, appreciate it….. once sunset over theres a huge exodus out of there so lifts take a while. The staff are absolutely amazing they work hard at moving the crowd’s & courteously telling people “the lift has reached capacity sir, we can’t accommodate anyone else😊” amazing what people try to do & compromise safety 🤦🏻‍♀️ saying that if you go prepared to take your time its worth the time spent there. 🤩🤩🤩

Sky Tower has serious pulling power.
There's no doubt that you can't go to Auckland and miss seeing the Sky Tower. We went up to the 50th floor and then went down a floor to have a cheese plate and a drink. The view was exceptional and it was nice to look over to Rangitoto and Waiheke Island. A very impressive structure and a great addition to the city skyline.

    Great experience and views
We visited here as it was included in our hop on hop off bus tour ticket and neither of us had been before. There are also adventure activities here, bungy, and outside walking, that we did not do, but others were participating. The 360 degree views were marvellous as we had a very clear day.
Kia ora Bulgey Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely review of your recent visit. Here at the Sky Tower, we strive to provide our guests with not only the most exceptional service, but also options as to experience the views at your own pace. For those more daring we have the challenges of the SKYWALK & SKYJUMP which I am thrilled you have suggested, or the more relaxed and mellow enjoyment of overlooking the city while enjoying a delicious coffee or cocktail. I do hope that you took great advantage of all that we have to offer, and we hope that we can welcome you back in the near future. Best Wishes Maria

Worth the expense for the views
Couldn’t get a reservation at the revolving restaurant so settled for the Sky Bar . Still got the amazing views . Drinks were expensive & the food menu very limited but we enjoyed the experience. We qualified for a discount on admission to the Observation Deck . Just $10 rather than $42

    The views are amazing!
The Sky Tower was a great time! We did the Level 60 sky deck, the Level 51 main observation level and the Sky Slide (closed earlier than the other things, so check times if you go). It was too windy for jumpers, so we missed that part of the experience. It was lovely to see the city from above! It was a little crowded in the tower, but I'm guessing it's that way most of the time! The Sky Tower is also lit up at night on the outside and it is beautiful!

Go at Sunset, make a Reservation at Skybar.
We went to the Skybar during sunset. Got to enjoy the day and night views. You Must make a reservation or you will not get to the Skybar. It gets crowded at night with lots of young people. We met friends there and had several drinks. Food or dessert did not look interesting. Ladies had the champagne and gents drinks. Expensive, but worth it. We had great seats but I really appreciate the staff not pushing us out after an hour and a half. Also, enjoyed the atmosphere outside the sky Tower during Chinese New Year's. It's a bit confusing where to go. There is a private entrance and elevator to the Skybar. Kudos to Management at the Skybar. There was a very inebriated young lady who came to the bar. Happy to see management would not serve her or her party. They asked her to leave. Considering the shape she was in, great call.

    Spectacular views
The whole visit to the tower is is a stunning experience. The ride up in the elevator is exciting, and when you get to the viewing gallery then all the views are simply stunning. On the day of our visit the visibility was great so we were able to see across the whole of the Auckland area.

    Nice sculpture
Only went into the casino, personally didn't feel it was worth the cost of admission to see the views, but enjoyed watching the bungy jumpers coming down, also a steep price. If you can afford it go for it. An easy couple blocks walk from cruise port

Sky Tower is the second tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere and is situated on Federal Street in Auckland CBD.It is 328 metres (1,076 ft) tall, as measured from ground level to the top of the mast and till 2022 was the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The upper portion of the tower contains two restaurants and a cafe, including New Zealand's only revolving restaurant, located 190 m (620 ft) from the ground, which turns 360 degrees every hour. The tower is part of the SkyCity Auckland casino complex, a unbelievable large casino .At night the Sky Tower is illuminated.

This attraction is pretty expensive for the basic ticket. On the day I visited we were warned there maybe limited visibility although it was more limited than advised. Additionally it was quite windy which led to all but one lift being closed and the tower swaying. The sign claimed a lift was undergoing maintenance, it actually could not handle the conditions which led to extra queueing in the air. There was no warning about the swaying which lots of people found uncomfortable.

The staff were mixed in friendliness and the windows were in need of cleaning. More warnings should have been given and the ticket prices should be reduced everyday.

We’ve done a few Sky towers around the world, not the tallest one but tall enough to see the city. Not a must but you kind of have to do it at least once on any city that has one to get an idea of the size/lay out of any downtown area. Would recommend it as it’s walking distance from pretty much everywhere in the downtown area.

We went to the Sky bar and to the top platform. Really enjoyed the views despite the mist at times. SkyBar was cool. Friendly staff and good cocktails and snacks. All reasonable priced. We would have liked to have see the 360 restaurant but weren’t allowed to stop on that floor. Wasn’t keen on gift shop. Great way to get your bearings in the city and look over the coast.

The day we visited it was very windy, at the time they shut down bungee jumping and sky walks .

As the tower was swaying a number of people felt sick and had to leave quickly .

Views can be spectacular, but on our windy day views were limited .

The place is aging, and one of the lifts were out so employees and visitors had to share the same lift , which meant queues to go up and down.

We visited the Sky Tower to kill an hour or so while our hotel room was getting ready. Unless you just love tall city towers, you could give this one a pass. The view is nice enough but there's not a lot of spectacular stuff to see, and it's really expensive just to go up and look.

A tad expensive for a ride up a lift to get a good view but never the less, it was a nice experience.
Great to see people doing the jump and rather them than me. A tad nervous walking over the glass floors as it's very high but a good thing to do.
We didn't bother with their photos and didn't buy anything from the compulsory walk through the shop to buy their branded stuff.
