Had an awesome morning browsing the shops and cafes. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful views of the city. Wish we had more time to walk the promenade as it looked like that would be stunning on a clear day.

Took the ferry too the quaint town of Devonport It's a island with the navy base on it. Great shops n view of Auckland Rained while we were there but still had a wander around. Best fish n chips

Besides the town itself there are 2 more places within Devonport you could visit for free - Mt. Victoria and North Head. Lots of cafés and restaurants available around too. I think there is a Navy museum nearby as well and a wharf. Very posh...More
