Picturesque village just a 10 minute ferry ride from Auckland. Explored the village and walked along the shoreline. We were really lucky to get a superb view of Emirates Team NZ and the UK boats heading back to the basin after practicing on the water. Really nice vibe.

Best place to have a great shot of city of sails from other side of the heaven. Lots of restaurants to hang out and great place to spent your day off.

A lovely part of the city to see. Walked up the north head with the cannons, my boys loved it, check out the Navy Museum too and the cafe was lovely.

Devonport is only 12 minutes by ferry from Downtown Auckland. It's a good place for shopping and dining, it's always had laid-back feel, with a touch of counter-culture. European settlement dates from the 1800s, though Maori occupation was earlier.
