This was the most pleasant river cruise up the Swan to East Perth under the new bridge and past the Stadium. We had tourists from the UK with us and they were blown away by the beauty of the natural wildlife along with the amazing man made icons and homes around East Perth. The highlight was the Captain of the boat playing his Didgeridoo and clap sticks as we cruised along the river! You get a totally different view of the city y boat rather than in a car. The Ferry is solar powered so there is no smelly and noisy engines to detract you from the sight seeing.

Rory was our guide. He was very informative , humorous and interesting. He played the digeridoo for us - explaining what all the different sounds mean. Also gave us information on aboriginal culture.
The ferry was comfortable and there were bottles of water available on board.

The Swan River is easily Australia’s most beautiful major city waterway, and cruising it on a perfect autumn evening in a quiet and comfortable electric ferry is the ideal match. We were a family group of 7 and chartered the boat for ourselves for 2 hrs and took in the beautiful lights of the city, old brewery, Optus Stadium and claisebrook. It was my wife’s birthday and she loved it. Very comfortable and we had a heavily pregnant passenger and a three year old. Highly recommend it.

We booked the private 2 hour sunset cruise to celebrate a birthday. Everything from the booking through Oscar, to the journey on the Swan ran smoothly. It was quite a windy night but Rory, our skipper, navigated the waters so well we didn’t even feel like it was. Would definitely do this again and recommend to others. Thanks for a great night.

Had a wonderful day out for my friends 60th! The boat was very interment and 11 of us all raved about the day. However the lunch at the restaurant Soul on the Point was simply dreadful. Iim not sure how much of the total cost went to the lunch but I would have thought $5 by the meal standard. The fish was cold and only 2 tiny pieces with soggy chips and the salad was just lettuce with halved baby tomatoes and dressing. Not even the complimentary bottle of wine they gave us could improve this meal. The chef went back into the kitchen and cooked some more for us but the damage was already done. With food standard that low one wonders how we can attract visitors when our borders open. But that said, thank you Oscar for the great river trip

Hi Coastal559218, thank you for your feedback. Whilst it is pleasing that Oscar looked after you and you enjoyed your cruise on our little ferry, it is very disappointing that the luncheon component of your afternoon was so underwhelming. At the end of the day Coastal559218 we take on the responsibility for the whole package of cruise and luncheon and I will personally address your disappointment and issues raised with the Cafe.
Please drop me a note direct to my email address and I will provide you a more detailed response from the Cafe.
Thank you
Kevyn

We did the twilight cruise as a surprise for my best friends 50th birthday and it was perfect. The boat was set out to cater to all our needs. With comfortable seating, a central esky and tables to put nibbles on. Open air and plenty of visibility. The captain was friendly and helpful. The cruise to claisebrook cove was beautiful only to be outdone by the city skyline view on the return to the quay. We all had an amazing night.

They have two boats both driven by solar power. No engine noise and no fumes. The owner is a really friendly chap who gives a constant commentary all the way from Elizabeth quay to what ever destination you have chosen. We went to Clairesbrook Cove and had lunch at a really nice bar/restaurant. The trip cost us 32 NZD return each. I would do it again and again.

Sailing on the Swan River and as dusk is setting in seing everything lit up. Able to bring our own picnic and drink. No fuel smells as Little Ferry runs on energy from the sun. David our Skipper was a true Gentleman explained everything we needed to know. Would go another Little Ferry Cruise.

We took the trip up the Swan on a day when we could, not expecting too much. However, as it turned out, the trip was most interesting, J-P gave us some well researched insights into various landmarks along the way in an easy to understand manner and in a relaxed fashion.
It was a fine and sunny day, the traveling quiet (due to the electric outboard motors being used) and free from unnecessary hype or exaggeration.
We were able to arrive easily on time via public transport and had a most comfortable ride up to the new residential development in East Perth, where we stopped and could have stayed longer except that the boat was full on the next two return journeys.
The boat took about 10-12 passengers, had comfortable seating, and cruised at pedestrian pace (which suited all on board).
We returned satisfied we had a good trip and it was worth what we paid for it. Good to do, if in Perth.

What a wonderful evening aboard the little ferry with family. Perfect conditions and very cosy on board. The ability to BYO food and drink together with great skipper and absolutely wonderful view of the city lights, not to mention Optus Stadium, made for a great evening aboard. Would thoroughly recommend a cruise.

Can somebody please tell me what the exact stops are? Because I already know it stops at Elizabeth quay ,on the point and Claisebrook cove but some people say it stops at Burswood jetty at Optus stadium and a few other stops but now I’m confused

HI. Planning to visit Perth. how much is this trip per person?
Written 6 May 2017
$12 per adult one way (45minutes) or $22 return. Its nice to go one way, stop at the hotel for a drink or eat at one of the restaurants or cafes and then take the free Yellow Cat bus back to the CBD from Royal Street.
It seemed really cheap compared with the other river tours but I couldn't fault the ride or service. I boarded the boat at Elizabeth Quay,
The ferry leaves Elizabeth Quay daily at 9:30, 11:00, 1:00, 2:30 and 4:00pm.
I think the best departure time is 4pm for nice late afternoon light on the river, have a drink then a meal and see the Cove by day and then with the pretty rainbow lights on the footbridge reflected in the water after dark.
Claisebrook Cove is very pretty but is quite quiet with only a few places to eat and drink compared with, say, Clarke Quay in Singapore.
Recommended for a sunny day.

Hi, I've just made a booking for tomorrow's 10.30am departure from Elizabeth Quay and the return trip at 11.15am. Any chance for me to reschedule the return trip time to a later timing as we might wanna explore Clairebrook Cove area a bit. Thanks in advance.
