Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

DNA is the building block of life. It was discovered by Crick and Watson. DNA is a double stranded molecule. A representation of the double helix can be seen in the DNA Tower. The DNA Tower is a feature of Kings Park. From the top, you can get a great view over KIngs Park and the Swan River. The Tower is a bit of a climb, but it's manageable by anyone of average fitness.

We’ve visited Kings Park in the past and had heard of this addition. We found the odd sign but after following several the trail went cold…. Even the information centre struggled to tell us where it was!

It’s the other side of the roadway above the Acacia Terrace. It’s, as you might deduce, a double spiral staircase to a viewing platform (of no great distinction) and seems largely to be used by people looking to get up and down as fast as possible!

We had this on our list to do when visiting Kings Park however being on foot we followed the signs and really struggled to find it at first. Then we realised it was on the other side of the road. When we did get there we climbed and loved the double helix arrangement for the steps. It's not that tall however, where it sits gives great views from the top platform.

The DNA Tower climb is fabulous for kids or for those whom don't mind getting fit or heights. Its located in Kings Park with stunning views across the park. The name is called after the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecule( which is found in all human cells ) the tower has 101 steps one way .

Once you climbed the 100 steps up to the tower you will have a fantastic view over the city, the river and the whole Perth area.

Came here early in the morning with husband, plenty of parking even on a Sunday. Perhaps because it was so early. Was a very big hike up the steps i didn't realise how high up until the top! Great views and chance to take some piccys.

Great for kids and kids at heart. Great for photos. If you take the Hoho Bus you'll find it easy enough.

The DNA tower provides a good view of Kings Park surroundings but more importantly it's the parkland around the tower that is spectacular and provides a place for reflection, gatherings, park lands, Western Australian flora (especially in the spring months of September and October).

It's hard to think of the DNA Tower as an attraction, although it is worth spending the 20 minutes it would take to climb, look around and come back down. It is one of many things to do in Kings Park but not really a standalone reason to visit the park.

Its called the DNA tower due to the similarities of the intertwining staircase?

Worth a look while in Kings Park but isn't the reason for visiting.

Still...... enjoyable for small kids.
