A great night out

Not been for years but loved it. Great night out with friends and not too expensive. Ate in Steelo's which had great views but the food was average, try the buffet next time.

Gloucester Park seems to be a racetrack for horses, although we attended the park today for an obstacle challenge event. The park is huge, more of an open oval / race track than anything else, so you wouldn't visit here as a tourist unless you were planning in attending an event.

I was on holiday in January and went with family to The Trots one evening. We'd booked a hospitality package which included a fantastic buffet (cold seafood, carvery and hotplates). The seafood was quite literally outstanding! The drinks package contained a wide range of beers and spirits which suited us all to a tee. The races were watched from an... More

I am totally against any form of horse racing however family commitments forced my hand to attend. Thankfully there were no accidents during racing otherwise the night could have taken on a totally different feeling & atmosphere. The best place to sit in my opinion is relaxing on the grass area with an excellent view of the entire track. BYO... More

I had never been there before but thought I would try it one warm Friday evening. Even for a non gambler like my self it was quite interesting. I have never taken my family there because I thought maybe the lads out drinking would make for an un pleasant feeling. How wrong I was. The crowd was made up many... More

A great way to spend a summers night. This differs from horse racing, as troting means that the jocky's are on a carriage (called a spider, I think) , so its entertaing to watch the trying to overtake each other.

Was very much looking forward to a night at the trots with a group of friends. We booked a table at Beau Rivage, this was for the $77 seafood buffet. Was greeted by a lovely and very helpful lady by the name of Richelle. She showed us to our seat, explained the process of how and where to place bets... More

Took a party 50 Seniors to a Twilight Meet. Had done the same thing 9 months previously and food was excellent, so re-booked. Only one meat option and no vegetarian option. Ran out of salads and veges, which made it hard for anyone who doesn't eat meat! Dessert was cake, which was dry. Had many complaints from our group ie... More

Spent an evening with our aussie family from Perth in November 2014. Loved the evening despite not being much of a gambler and knowing little about horses. The facility was immaculate and quite large. We sat on the grass near the finish line and had a great view of the track. The evening was very warm but the pints tended... More

Went here for a work function. We were given our own room which was nicely decorated. The meal was very nice. The smorgasbord was very appealing. Good variety. Lots of vegetables, which I really liked. Jim Beam cans were overpriced at $10.50. Staff were very polite and helpful.
