A Great Anglican church ANYONE can visit, very friendly, and you worship God with awesome ambiance

We are Christians, but we don't know if we can be allowed to sit in the church or not. So we tried, and we went there every Sunday afterwards in the time we stayed in Perth!

We stumbled upon this beautiful traditional Anglican church while strolling around on a quiet weekday. Both the exterior and interior architecture of the cathedral are magnificent and very well-maintained. Especially love the stained glass windows, the wooden pews, the beautiful altar, and they even have the main traditional organ with huge trumpet pipes which we don't see in many modern... More

Our visit to this beautiful church was improved by a very knowledgable lady who showed us around. She was calm and quiet and full of love for the church and its history. A lovely way to spend half an hour.

St George's Cathedral is located in the heart of the CBD on St George's Terrace. It's a beautiful looking building which is constructed with handmade bricks. The Victorian Gothic design incorporates local & imported materials. The Oregon pine ceilings are lovely & so too are the interior striking stained glass windows.

Arrived here after walking 27.5kms. Lit a candle at eh plaque for John Burdet Wittenoom who was the first chaplain in the colony. Gothic design interior. Beautiful stained glass windows. Worth a look

I have a passion for stained glass, especially in churches. St. George's Cathedral has great examples of this, from traditional glass to modern examples in stunning blue and red. The view back along the nave to the organ and the back of the church is also stunning. Well worth a visit.

We stayed in the city for the weekend and visited the cathedral as part of Heritage Perth weekend. Such a magnificent building, stunning timber ceilings and well preserved brickwork. There were plenty of guides to answers our questions.

We visited the cathedral as part of the Perth heritage weekend. The interior brickwork is magnificent, the stained glass windows beautiful and the building well preserved. There are lots of plaques of historical interest on the walls, and the sound of the organ swelled. The guides provided lots of interesting information.

Was christened here, married here (as were my parents)...it was once a lot quieter around the Cathedral but nothing can take away the peace and quiet of the interior. A very nice example of the very best our early settlers could do.
