Took our young grandson here recently. It was school holidays so was busy, but people were enjoying it. The old trucks are interesting and educational, but the youngsters got the biggest thrill from dressing up and sitting in the cabin of the more modern truck. For adults, the variety of uniforms, old photos etc was educational. There is a good... More

My older brother who is a firefighter in Canada has been stopping by as many Fire halls/stations as he can during our drive around Australia, chatting with the brotherhood of firefighters, trading patches, pins and stories which has been a lot of fun for him. He wanted to check out the Museum & Fire Safety Education Centre for some ideas... More

Lovely fire engines, we dressed up as firemen, drew pictures, played games with the activities they had there. Plenty of information on history. Kids loved it, would recommend 2 hours here with young kids.

This small museum is effectively a museum for old fire fighting stuff. I think it is also set up for school groups. Anyway if you are into such things it's pretty good. There is the history of the WA Fire Brigades laid out before you including some old equipment some of the stuff has obviously been looked after by a... More

The building is a remarkable historic heritage building staffed by a volunteer on certain hours of certain days and has several old fire engines and a old firey's equipment and memorabilia as well as displays and an education centre for kids. Well worth a look.

Having visited other fire museums, this one was quite basic. The staff were great and willing to discuss the items. Upstairs was more suited to school groups with the activities available.

This museum tells the story of past fire fighters in Perth WA, as well as providing information about fire safety. Here you learn of history and current life saving techniques in case of fire. Great for a family visit or to wander in on your own.
