Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Few people in Forest Place when we visited on the 12th, even the tenancies that comprise Forest Chase were short on customers. After a quick lunch at the Coffee Club, we headed into Myer where I located a quiet corner to read the newspaper while my wife roamed the ladies' departments. Disappointed to note that Bocelli Espresso had been compelled to vacate their site of many years in Forest Place.

The old buildings here are just gorgeous. There is a variety of high-end shops in the area, and the Hawker's food market is here every Friday evening. Worth a visit just to see the majestic old buildings. Between Murray Street Mall and the Perth train station (Wellington Street).

Like our previous visit, my wife headed to Myer, I accompanied her for a brief period and headed out to lunch. Certainly, little vibe in any of the stores and I'd say that Forrest Place is becoming one of the more sterile parts of the CBD. Very few pedestrians, fountains still not working. few shoppers about in either of the major department stores adjoining and the specialty shops also quiet.

Please! Like many other so called tourist attractions in Perth, the only thing that is attractive about this place is the NAME. Don't believe that everything Australian or sold in Australia is necessarily superior . That's utterly nonsensical.

Facing the main train station, this place is, truth be told, hardly a tourist attraction. Like the Hay Street and Murray Street Shopping Malls, prices in the department stores are obviously priced to make sure that the business is viable and that includes being able to pay wages, rent, utilities etc... Considering that the wages for the locals are not by any measure LOW, why do we want to go to Perth to buy something that we can get for a much a lower price in holiday destinations elsewhere where wages are one tenth of those in Perth? Common sense will tell you that Perth is not great for shopping with its super high prices and limited range. Leave the shopping areas for the locals to buy what they need for themselves. You might just want to window shop and that's about it. Don't waste your money otherwise.

I would not recommend any tourist to shop in Perth. Singapore offers a far wider range, and most up-to-date fashion, and at much lower prices. Or you can try Shanghai or Hong Kong if you are heading farther north.

Most people think of the area between Myer and the PO as Forrest Chase despite its actually a name of the shopping centre Myer is in. The area is called Forrest Place and should be more of a place to visit then a shopping centre.

The iCity Information Kiosk is located centrally at the corner of Murray Street Mall and Forrest Place.

First time into the Perth CBD for many, many years...basically I was a tourist in my own city... the staff were great.... I was after details of the colourful Cow Parade.

I was given a map with all the cows...saw where I had been and the cows I saw on the way up from Elizabeth Quay. There are so many to see that I will come back tomorrow to see more of the herd.

Will use the CAT buses to zoom around - I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks to the information kiosk for all the info.

If you are visiting Perth, make this a port of call for places to see when you check out the CBD.

Forrest Chase is a large square which consists of five levels of shops including Myer department store, cafes & other speciality stores. Its located in Murray Street fronting the Murray Street Mall , Forrest Place & Wellington Street.

Its regularly used by the locals as a meeting place or on weekends as a market. At the moment the " Turning the Christmas Lights " will be the major event for November.

Well, we have just had the best ever long weekend in Perth. Being from the country its been a while since we have had a weekend in the city, but the long weekend was a good excuse to give it a go again. I have never been a huge supporter of Perth City, always though it was boring, but OH MY GOD, never again will i say that. From the numerous areas with live entertainment (all quality, not just busking), to the street performers, water play area and just general vibe, it was impressive. With art and cultural displays everywhere, it has really changed. The walk over to the art centre and museum was the same. Perth has definitely changed, and after a recent trip to Melbourne, i really believe that Perth has a better vibe than Melbourne. Well done Perth.

It is an open square with water labyrinth in its centre, a cool place in hot summer time. Surrounded by shopping centre Myer and plenty of eateries places. At the centre of Perth Public Transport System, Central Train Station and Perth Underground nearby, CAT Free Bus, Red, Yellow and Blue passing this place, very convenient. Adjacent to Murray St Mall and not too far from Hay St, very nice place for everyone.
