The main attraction is the museum's extensive collection of Aboriginal artifacts, but yes, there's a dinosaur gallery for the kids, too.

Pleasantly surprised how educational and interesting this was, great for a rainy day or if it's too hot outside!

I would recommend that take care of the animals in the farm that they have. They look after the museum, pity they can't afford to put more shelter for kangaroos.😡😡😡.. It was a hot day and they were looking for shade. It was pathetic, I'm sure the staff wouldn't like be out in the hot sun and looking for shade... More

Impressive museum with a wide variety of natural history. It's got a freaking whale skeleton. Also the body of some prehistoric fish encased in epoxy or something. Excellent place to visit when in Perth. Free WiFi also available.

I think this gallery would have been better except there were renovations taking place and a new museum being built - so they only had a basic selection on display. Still lovely and worth the visit.

Not due to open til 2017 which was a disappointment. Instead we went to a little known alternative. This was the Western Australia historical society museum at Nedlands one bus route 950 takes you there. It was full of artefacts photos and maps showing the history, including aboriginal of the Perth and surrounds, well worth a visit.

As well as the Mint this is another place to visit when touring this city. Some museums can get a little boring but this one is the most interesting one we have ever been to in the world. A really interesting plact to visit with so many things to see and learn about. Highly recommended.

This museum is top notch but unfortunately it is now closed to the public so as to accommodate a complete refurbishment. Watch the press but estimated time of opening is 2020.

disappointing to see that its " temporarily closed " but it was always a great place to visit and the new building should make space for more exhibits to be taken from the cellars and put on display.
