Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Blue Boat Shed is a terrific photo opportunity. There is no charge, but you might have to line up for a while to get your photo. The Blue Boat Shed is a Perth icon, situated on the banks of the Swan River. The Blue Boat Shed is not far from the University of Western Australia. It's a great shot to show your friends at home on Instagram.

Nothing to do here except to take photos, with a caption “been here!”. I came around the evening and parked at the traffic light site, which is free after 6. But, you got to walk a little which is a hassle for me cause I was already tired during the time after a full-day tour. Anyways the day that I came the house was pink! Oh man.... well, enjoy the photos.

There's nothing else here except the blue boat house, if you like instagrammable places, this would be the one that you're looking for. We came around late afternoon and took lovely pictures - and u have to queue for it. Not much of a crowd, u need to park opposite the road (up on a slope - housing area) and walk down, cross over the busy road and there you'll have it! Remember not to leave anything valuable behind in your car (parked) as the locals said to have people breaking the car windows to steal. Other than that, it's a 10-30 minute visit for this spot. Take some photos, and byebye.

This is an interesting landmark along Mounts Bay Road south of Kings Park. The blue boat house is situated at the end of a short pier in Matilda Bay. You might have seen pictures of it within Perth tourism material and online content.
Not sure closest place to park if targeting to visit for close up photos but you can definitely see it while driving along State Route 5 (Mounts Bay Road) towards Fremantle if only interested in a quick sneak peak. It will be on your left in the bay.

A blink and miss spot that's pretty instagrammable. I'd combine this spot with another destination along the way eg UWA? Dun expect much beyond what you see in the pics..

An IG moment at the iconic Blue Boat Shed and that’s about it. There is very little else to do there. No entry fee, just need to beat the crowd (if any) to pose for a photo.

I looked, I saw, I walked away.
It was blue. It was a pretty blue and by the time I walked away, so was I. Not sure why I bothered to look.

Of all the places beautiful Perth has to offer why do tourists constantly flock to the little blue boat shed on Mounts Bay Road? I just don’t get it. It’s so inconvenient to get to and it’s an awful long walk back to the city or Kings Park. For heavens sake don’t waste your time and energy. By all means go to Kings Park,Elizabeth Quay, Kings Park, the best beaches in the world, the Swan Valley and much more but don’t go there!

A lonely house sitting in the middle of Perth surrounding by the lake. Cool place. It's not easy to access as it's near the busiest road.
