Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a really good tour. Our driver, Skip, was amazing. He was funny and knowledgeable. We were able to go sandboarding or the pub. Then, we went to Hangover Bay, where we were able to step into the water. A pretty place. At the Pinnacles, we walked around at our own pace and watched the sunset. It was beautiful. Then we had sausages and salad and gazed at the stars. A wonderful night.

The desert is stunning with the pinnacle stacks in stark contrast to the rest of the landscape. The stargazing was wonderful, everything we had hoped for. We would go again if/when we come back to Fremantle/Perth.

A really well organised, smoothly run tour by our tour guide Gavin. Clear messaging before hand regarding pick up and what to expect. The whole day was excellent. We were informed of every step, what we would be able to do and see at this time of year, the timings and when we would stop (including all important toilet stops on such a long and remote trip). The trip out is broken up with activities to add to the enjoyment. The icing on the cake, were the Pinnacles which are amazing, especially as the light changes! Again, really organised, time to explore before the sunset and dinner. A simple but tasty bbq with a good spread of salads and drinks before the telescope and binoculars were organised. Gavin was really informative and seeing the moon and stars on luckily, such a clear night was another bonus. A really friendly guide, on a trip where everything is well managed and thought about. Including blankets, especially needed if you didn't heed the warnings of the cold desert evenings and very welcome even if you did!

Everything was amazing and well-organised! Sandboarding was extremely fun and stargazing was incredibly beautiful! Our guide, Skip, was very friendly and knowledgeable with fabulous sense of humour, which made our journey even more memorable! I loved savouring BBQ(including delicious BBQ sauce) and wines under a starry sky. Highly recommend this tour!

Visiting the Pinnacles in the evening is a good timing when the sun is not so hot and the warmer sunset tone adds color to the rocks and sand. The long shadows gives lives to the standing pinnacles as well. Neil, our guide, gave us close, warm and helpful hospitality. Highly recommended to join.

This was a great tour, Gavin was very informative and the views were spectacular. It was a shame we did not get to see the wildflowers at Nilgen as they are seasonal but sandboarding was fun and it was great to see the stars without light pollution in the evening. Recommend you cover up as much as possible as it can get quite windy!

Good trip. Great guide. Sandboarding, pinnacles, sunset and stargazing all good. Barbecue was very ordinary and a disappointment

We couldn’t resist the idea of stargazing in the desert - no light pollution! - and we loved the whole experience. Gavin is a super knowledgeable and friendly celestial guide, and the two telescopes and sets of astro binos give ample opportunity to see some amazing night sky views - whether the Pleaiades (Seven Sisters), Jupiter, Saturn, Orion’s Belt (aka the saucepan / sopping trolley) the Southern Cross and of course the moon. I think on nights with a less full (and wonderfully bright) moon, the stars would be even more visible - but we loved seeing the surface of the moon ‘up close’ and it was a real highlight. Also fun was the sand dune board riding on the way to the pinnacles, the otherworldly Pinnacles themselves - one theory is these 1000s of rocks are partly ancient trees - and a relaxed BBQ sausage sizzle at sunset, with lots of yummy and healthy salads to choose from. Great way to spend a day, great fun and value - thanks Gavin and Sam.

Sandboarding was fun, with great views at Lancelin. The Pinnacles are unique and atmospheric. We didn't go to Hangover Bay as on the itinerary, and clouds meant no stargazing. Dinner was sausages and nice salads. I would have liked a bit more informative commentary. Also it must have been very hard to understand for an overseas visitor, spoken quite rapidly, quietly and colloquially.

Fascinating! Loved it.
Our guide Skip was very knowledgeable about the stars and planets. Seeing the planets up close was truly special
