Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a tough one to review. Jacobs ladder is a staircase, a modern concrete staircase without much aesthetic beauty of any kind
So why the half decent review? Well because I used it several times during my stay in Perth to get from the city centre to King's Park and the view you get from the top is excellent.
Nevertheless, it remains, a staircase.

Climbed the Kokoda Track Trail, Had a coffee at the Cafe Near the Memorial and then climbed down the stairs. Easy Going but a lot of steps!
Amused by Cafe Rehab at the Bottom. Probably should have been at the Top! Good Fun!

Jacob's Ladder is a stairway from the top of Cliff Street to Mount's Bay Road. It is a quick way, if walking, of getting from King's Park to the River and Elizabeth Quay.

The current stairway was built in the 1960's and replaced the original stairway that was built in 1909. I understand the stairway ascends 43 metres in height.

It is certainly popular as an exercise site.

Jacob's Ladder is a reference to an Old Testament story. The ladder goes from Mounts Bay Road to Cliff Street. It's a bit of a climb, not beyond any moderately fit person, and the view from the top over the Swan River is spectacular.

I'm not the fittest person but the ladder is achievable, just take your time, don't push yourself and pick the weather and or time of day; early morning or dusk would be nice and the rewards of the views are worth it.

I Took Jacob's Ladder up to Kings Park and spent a few hours just strolling through the park admiring the views and the gardens. It was a lovely way to spend the day.

Enjoy

Jacob's Ladder is a staircase leading from Mounts Bay Road to Cliff Street. Jacob's Ladder has been around for a long time. I can remember climbing the old wooden staircase as a teenager; it's now made of concrete. Cliff Street is the beginning of KIngs Park; you can get a good view over the Swan River from the top. It's a good climb, but anyone of average fitness can manage it it if they take it easy.

Happened upon this ladder just around the corner from our accommodation. What a great way to pass away thirty minutes early morning or later evening. It was quite popular with all ages and I had great satisfaction in making six trips every day.

This staircase has been here for a long as I can remember. It was replaced some time ago as the old stairs had came into disrepair. It's very busy during most days but we did it on a rainy day visit to Kings Park when there weren't many people about.

The views from Kings Park are always spectacular.

Jacob's Ladder featured in a dream in the Bible when Jacob escaped his vengeful brother Esau. In Perth, Jacob's Ladder is a long straircase that climbs from the Swan River foreshore to Mount Eliza, from whence one can get an expansivfe view over the Swan River. Altthough it looks like a long staircase, anyone of average ffitness can make the climb as long as sthey take it easily. Climbing Jacob's Ladder that "Perth people" do at least once in their lifetime.
