Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Saturday or Sunday markets are a great introduction to Broome. Then, we bought at Thursday night markets at Town Beach as same venders ate at both. Either pattern of visits give a great way to see and enjoy the local produce by talented locals. Best souvenirs.

I was really impressive with the number and diversity of stalls on offer at the Courthouse Markets including food, artworks and clothes. A great place to pick up souvenirs in Broome. I attended the market on a Saturday and picked up lots of food and art items.

Great market and to be expected lots of pearls to buy at a far cheaper rate than the shops. If your not fussy where they come from some very good quality on sale.

We came on a Saturday and it was buzzing. Lots of nice things for tourists as well as many coffee and food options. Lots of pearl and jewellery stalls and a magnificent man doing massages! Lovely way to spend an hour or so on a Saturday. Nice and shady too.

A pleasant way to while away half an hour or so. A modest market but with an interesting range of souvenir/craft and food experiences in a nice environment.

While only a small market - especially on a Sunday morning - it had a good array of local products from indigenous art, jewellery, T-shirts and some fashion. We bought a couple of hats at reasonable prices to keep the Broome sun off, a T-shirt for a present and some earrings. If you just want a quiet half hour go to the markets.

Camel ride, Chinatown and the Stairway to Heaven and the amazing sunsets. The museum was also a must see for the history of the town.

Had attended Easter Sunday service at the Broome Anglican Church and the markets were just down the road from there. We came for the food and not so much for the products. Smallish market and only had about 4 food trucks selling cooked food. We tried the baos (duck, prawn & chicken) from The Bao Shed which was really good but cost $20 for 3. The Balinese food truck's beef rendang rice ($15) was delicious and a generous portion. Also, tried the green curry chicken and satay from one of the Thai food trucks.
The best was the mango smoothie and mango ice-cream from Moontide Mangoes. Smoothies are $8 each or 3 for $20. The mango ice-cream at $8 was such a generous amount. There were not many tourists about and we managed to get a table to eat our food from the limited eating area of 4 tables.

Of course in Broome, October is starting to get very hot, so best to go early. Opens at 9:00. Had really good sushi, homemade lemonade. Good selection of jewellery stalls & got some gorgeous pieces from 2 different stalls. Also a stunning silk scarf, exquisite. Over near Chinatown and easy to find.

Are the Courthouse Markets on this weekend? The website says they’re open both days, there is a banner advertising the markets at the site (I saw it today), the voice over on the town bus says they are on every Saturday BUT following months of social distancing & other restrictions, they MUST have been closed - so now, are they up & running again? There are not many places in Broome that are back up & running following the COVID-19 restrictions so why would the Courthouse Markets be? I sincerely hope that they are because I’m here, but it would be great to know.
