Johnny Chi Lane is a little arcade style shopping alley in Broome with a mixture of clothing and souvenir stores with some history thrown in. Nice to walk through and for a bit of shopping - noting some of the shops are a tad expensive...More

I had read about this in a novel and wanted to see it for myself. I could imagine it from the book and there are still remnants of former boom times.busy with little shops- touristy definitely but if in Broome you should visit.

Interesting array of shops, although some were unfortunately closed for the wet season. It's a cute little lane and we enjoyed meandering along reading the notices along the way. The notices are numbered and are displayed outside most of the shops, they detail the history...More

There is a great place in the lane that makes fresh fruit and vegetable juices. I have had a "get up and go" as a refresher after cycling from Cable Beach to Chinatown. Very refreshing!

Just went in for a look to see what sort of shops. Found that the clothing was discounted, but was still far too expensive for the average traveler.

This is referred to as China Town, but it is less 'China' and more just a shopping district. But don't let that deter you, it is a great area to browse with an eclectic mix of food, clothes and jewellery.
