Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good way to get round town and get the feel of the place. The 72 hour pass was good value and it’s much less stressful to use the bus than walking too far in the heat. The buses tend to run late (up to 20 minutes late on one occasion) so be careful with time planning. The circular route can be a bit confusing, especially around Chinatown so I’d recommend picking up one of the paper route maps/timetable from the front of the bus and checking carefully where the stop is for your return journey.

Great way to get around if you don't have a car in Broome and Cable Beach. Travel starts from about $4.50 and you can buy multi trip or day passes. Must wear a mask on bus if you don't have one purchase available for $1. Lots of hop on hop off locations.

Really worth the money!
As a local we know it’s had its challenges for the new owners but they keep showing up and trying their best. As I use this
Service regularly this means a lot to me that they continually keep going and try their best to get things going again. Especially in the heat that must be challenging for them.
BIG THANK YOU

The Explorer Bus is an excellent way to get around Broome, especially if you don't have a car. With 1/2 hourly service and 2 routes it covers much of Broome and Cable Beach. Multiple trip tickets are available with some very good specials offered by local business if you buy a Value Added pass. Just sitting on the bus and doing a full loop is a cheap way to see a bit of the Broome/ Cable Beach areas.

This bus service runs regularly between the Cable Beach area and Broome city, with regular stops at all the major areas. The drivers are helpful and friendly, and there is a running commentary throughout. It's a great service, but do be aware that it doesn't go late into the late. The last bus tends to stop at about 7.30.

The bus service could have been great and quite essential for getting round Broome. On this day in 40 degree heat, only one bus ran and instead of one pet half hour it became one per hour and then not at all. A call to their number provided a three week old message that no one was in the office. After a two hour wait we walked the 2 km and the bus did not come. Yes, there were mechanical issues with two buses but there should be enough buses to cope for downtime of some. A poor (very) service on this day/

The bus was running at the low season time table which is hourly. It was always on time and as Seniors it cost us $2 each per journey if you travelled the whole route or just one stop. It started at 9.21 am and finished at 6.21. Every stop advised the arrival & departure times, but the drivers also told you the information.

Whether you're going a short distance or right across town, the Broome Explorer bus is a good service to use. We bought a 24 hour pass that we used enough during that time to make it worthwhile, especially with the discounts that come with it at venues around the town. (EG a free beer paddle at Matso's!) Only criticism is that the service ends too early in the evening so you can get somewhere for a dinner reservation, but have to make other arrangements to get back.

Granted... it was late in the tourist season so I understand that some drivers have probably had enough, but seriously, some need to lighten up a little. Many of the buzzers on the bus itself don't work and the drivers will only stop if you ring the buzzer. Go figure. Also, do NOT rely on the timetable if you're trying to make an appointment. Twice in three days, the scheduled bus did not turn up. Once on a Tuesday arvo in Cable Beach and the other on a Saturday morning in town. Great idea in theory but not the best execution. I reckon Broome could do way better.

What a great little family owned bus service. Without it Broome would be lost ! If you’re a visitor without a car in Broome this bus is your answer . It goes to all the must see places and services in Broome. You can buy a one trip ticket for $4.50 (correct cash or card) you can buy 10 trips for $38. There’s a discount with your seniors card and kids travelling with an adult are free. Wear your mask. The bus runs every day except for Christmas and the last one is about 6.45pm.
