What an absolutely sensational experience aboard Diversity Charters.. After a couple of postponed departures due to COVID, the Diversity team worked with us to reschedule our Kimberley Dream cruise. The crew were knowledgeable, friendly and superbly professional and every aspect of our trip from room service, meals, fishing experiences, tours to aboriginal rock art and the myriad of waterfalls and swimming holes more than exceeded our expectations. Being a small ship experience is the only way to experience the majesty of the Kimberley. We were able to get into places most larger vessels would never be able take their passengers. For what we saw, the experiences we enjoyed, the spectacular scenery and how we were looked after, it represented excellent value for the money we paid. If you want to see the real Kimberley with staff and crew who want you to leave with the best of memories, we could not recommend Diversity Charters highly enough. Fantastic.

Feeling very privledged to be able to say "I have experienced the Kimberley Dream aboard Diversity Charters" Best holiday I have ever had and I could go again tomorrow without any hesitation. Loved everyday as everyday was a new adventure. The amazing waterfalls, swimming holes and out of this world scenery, art, the walks (especially the 10/10 walk OMG that was amazing) and everything the Kimberleys offered we have all locked it away in our memories and hearts. We booked the whole boat with 12 people that were ready to experience the #bigwet 2021 - " 14 day Kimberley Dream" and the trip exceeded everyones expectations. A huge thankyou Diversity Charters. A huge thankyou to Cal for navigating us through the Kimberleys, your knowledge and expertise was outstanding. My man Dan thank you for the scenery walks, dingy tours, waterfall dunkings, the fishing ( I'm so glad I got to catch the smallest Barra you have seen - just so you can see that they start off small haha) Chef Extraordinaire Danny, wowsers what can I say but a huge thankyou every meal was outstanding. Gronk your knowledge of the Kimberleys is impressive and you can feel your passion and I especially loved the map talks every night. Shawnee, the best stewardess EVER ! you amazed me everyday how you busily went about your work, so very quietly and quickly and always with an amazing smile. Thank you, I noticed all the little things you did. You are truely an inspiration. Dont hesitate in booking "Diversity Charters" I cant recommend enough, you just have to experience for yourself.

This was such a fabulous holiday experience, made so by the excellent crew from skipper Callum, his very friendly, able crew Jake & Dan, the irrepressible Cora with her constant smile and the wonderful meals from chef Dany. This is a gorgeous part of the world and the variety of activities and places to see made for a memorable 9 day trip, finishing with an aerial view from the seaplane from the Hunter River to Broome. David catching a barramundi was the icing on the cake (others caught more). Would highly recommend for anyone wishing to explore this untouched part of WA from the water - we’re already thinking about another trip!

We reckoned that a great way to experience the Kimberley was by boat, and our cruise aboard the catamaran Diversity II (just twelve guests) confirmed our hopes. We boarded in Broome and were on board for eight days, the first cruise in July 2020 after the boat restarted cruising post lockdown. We saw a lot.
Callum and his crew, Jake and Dan, choreographed our daily adventures. We were in the tenders every day to explore isolated beaches, once inhabited Sheep Island, Montgomery Reef, Horizontal Falls, and for fishing and crabbing. These visits to the shore underscored the remoteness and beauty of the Kimberley coast. Can't imagine a better way to see its richness and diversity(?), and the colour and configuration of the ancient rocks, seascapes, sunsets and sunrises.
Chef Dany Angove, ex Leeuwin Estate, cooked delicious food and was ready to prepare our daily catch of barramundi, tuna and mangrove jack within minutes of it being caught by us, landed, cleaned and filleted. For the record, we recorded the biggest catch of the week, not bad for a non-fisherman.
Cora was our wonderful girl-Friday who served at the table, serviced the cabins daily, kept the showers spotless, even did our laundry with a same-day service! Cora was there always smiling and ready to respond to any request. In short order, she knew what every guest drank. What a great asset to the Diversity team!
When it was all over, we were collected by seaplane and were, two hours later, back in Broome having flown over the Horizontal Falls that we'd rocketed through in the tenders.
This holiday will suit the active, those who enjoy fishing and who would love to see the Kimberley from a different perspective.

I did the 8 night cruise from Broome to the Hunter River and can't recommend this trip enough. I think it's a trip that every Australia should do in their lifetime to truly appreciate the simply stunning landscape and breathtaking beauty that the Kimberley has to offer!
Put on top of that an all star cast that is The skipper and crew that played such a part in making this trip a memory to last a lifetime. From Cal the skipper, the Fossil's famous nightly summary's of the days activities with the giant map and Dan the Man's ever so laid back demeanour, nothing is too much for these lads and their knowledge and storytelling about the history of the area and sacred sites is worth the price alone.
Then to put on top of that to come back to the boat to having your room made up each day including any laundry thanks to the wonderful hostess Kim.
Finally to then be served food from a Michelin star chef each day was simply the best finish to every day and I had some of the best meals in my life on that boat.
Finally the vessel is big enough so that you can at any time find your own space if you want time by yourself, but also the perfect size to get to know your fellow guests and challenge them to your favourite card game.
Cannot recommend this trip highly enough!

What a great adventure. The days were filled with great scenery, exciting fishing, swimming under waterfalls and exploring indigenous art sites.
The Kimberley is really one of the last great wilderness adventures and I would recommend it to anyone.
Be aware that a good level of fitness and agility is needed to make the most of the trip as accessing some of the sites required a fair bit of scrambling over rocks.
The crew were excellent. Cal, Clive and Jake have an excellent knowledge of the waters and sites. Kimberley took care of all our needs on board and Alan the chef put up excellent meals every day.
I now have to sort through the 1500 photos but I doubt they will do the scenery true justice.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
We had the most amazing time abord Diversity on the 9 day Kimberley Tour. Well organised day time activities to keep us busy going oyster hunting, visiting Montgomery Reef and a nearby sand island, hidden waterholes, aboriginal paintings, star gazing, fishing for barramundi, being served the most delicious meals from a well renowned chef, Danny, ex-Leuwin Estate and just chilling on the front deck chatting to our fellow travellers. The deckies knew their fishing and as a result no one came home empty handed. The isolation and beauty of the area’s nature is unbeatable. We are already saving for a revisit in a few years!

1.scenery was amazing, particularly King George gorge rock formations.
2. Boat crew were excellent and really switched on. The skipper was very capable and felt safe at all times, even in what we considered reasonably rough seas. Very sensible around crocs and sharks.
3. Clive (Gronk) and Jake had a great knowledge of the area and took us to many interesting sites, including best fishing, crabbing and oyster locations. Always willing to assist fishing novices like us!!
4. Kimberley our hostess very helpful and great to have on the boat.
5. The only ‘doubtful’ character on the boat was the “chef” Alan. His cooking was so amazing we both put on 3kgs in 14 days. Hope he is available for our next trip.
6. My wife is now known as the 117 lady (see photo)

We’re not normally cruise people but we decided the best way to see the Kimberley was on a boat. We chose Diversity III because of the small group size. It couldn’t have been better! The boat is absolutely beautiful, and so comfortable with 6 ensuite cabins for the 12 passengers. It has ample gathering spaces inside and outside giving variety of places to socialise. Our favourite spot was the covered upper deck where most of the fabulous meals are enjoyed. The level of service from the wonderful friendly crew was exceptional and we were all totally spoilt by them attending to our every need. Their attention to detail was amazing and their enthusiasm unwavering. We felt totally safe with our three boat guides as they were so experienced and knowledgeable and were always there to lend a caring hand if the rock climbing got difficult for some. They have in-depth knowledge of the whole region and went out of their way to make sure we explored out of the way places and had plenty to do. We honestly can’t recommend them highly enough if you’re after a small group cruise. Thanks a million to our dream crew Dan, Sarah, Gronk, Oscar and Seb for a fantastic trip!

Our holiday on Diversity III was simply wonderful! It was four years since we booked it, but with the complication of covid and other snags we were only able to go in July 2023. Our 9 day, 8 night cruise from Hunter River to Broome was highly worth the wait.
Diversity is extremely comfortable and well equipped. There are plenty of spaces to sit and watch the scenery slip by, to chat or simply read. It has three dining areas (two outside) so meals can be placed to match the weather. Our bedroom was comfortable with good views and storage space in drawers for our luggage. We wondered if we took enough, but it was plenty: a bag for washing was removed from the room each day and miraculously appeared later, washed, dried and folded. The room was discreetly serviced and cleaned each day.
Danny, the Chef, provided us with scrumptious restaurant-quality food at every meal, and these were one of the highlights of the trip.
The planning for each day was meticulous. At times there were tight timelines because of tides, but each day’s itinerary was leisurely. The next day was explained to us with a map after dinner each night. Each couple was offered a map with the route marked on it at the end of the trip – it was fascinating to see where we had been.
Each day we went for an excursion to a swimming hole out of croc-reach. These were in some beautiful locations, sometimes over sharp or slippery rocks, and the reef shoes/sandals/sneakers on the packing list were well used. The exercise was also welcome, although the distances were only short. There was fishing each day, and visits to historical sites and aboriginal rock art. And an amazing bonfire one evening.
We enjoyed the company of the other passengers, and also the excellent staff – Callum, Zac, Braden, Sophie and Danny – who were very competent and professional, always willing to go the extra mile to help us enjoy ourselves, taking people’s limitations seamlessly into account.
We give our experience on Diversity a resounding endorsement. The plane and helicopter flights to start with, and the remarkable country we saw on the boat trip, gave us a good look at this fascinating part of the country. We would love to go back some time.
