We were lucky enough to do the second tour of the season and even luckier to have Mark and Carmel as our guides. It was beyond my expectations and I am so pleased that we had this tour recommended to us by my brother. It was a wonderful exercise in team work, both with your partners but also with the other members of the group. We had a great group of like minded people who were roughly about the same age. We were really suprised by how comfortable the swags were - so much so that we are now going to buy one for future trips. The tents were easy to assemble and dissemble too. Carmel's culinary skills are amazing and I am sure I put on weight even though we were so busy. We got to see so many sights that would not have been accessible to us normally as we are not campers or 4 WD enthusiasts. All I can say is if you have the chance to do this tour do it. You will not be disappointed.

If anyone is thinking about a Kimberley adventure - please stop and check out Adventure Wild. We just finished their first tour of 2021 after a recommendation from a friend and it was the most amazing trip we've done. Although the Value for Money aspect was important - the Guides, Thommo and Gools were professionals through and through and their knowledge of the region was just astounding (and we had done lots of our own research) - but the first hand stories they had accumulated was unsurpassed. Their discipline in camp management just made everything work as clockwork, with what looked like minimum effort - but in reality we knew how hard they worked after we went off to bed.... then they'd be up before any of us with the water boiling for that morning tea or coffee. I could go on - but suffice to say, Adventure Wild's experience and use of "mature, married couples" as professional guides surely made the difference. Many thanks and would recommend this tour to everyone.

My wife and I travelled to the Kimberley region with great anticipation of seeing some amazing sights and sites and we were not disappointed. However, Phil and Liz, our tour leaders/drivers/cooks from Adventure Wild not only showed us the sights but brought the area to life by giving us the background to the history (both pre- and post European settlement), the geography, the geology, the wildlife and stories about the characters who live there. Their encyclopaedic knowledge of the country was impressive. And they were able to negotiate this rugged terrain in a way that kept our group of 16 safe and comfortable at all times. Their constant energy, positivity and patience made this trip great fun and a truly memorable experience. In the lead up to our trip, the company managers, Simone and Karl, were very efficient and thorough in dealing with our enquiries and keeping us up to date with the steps involved in planning our adventure. We compared the packages offered by a number of different tour companies in The Kimberley and chose Adventure Wild for a number of reasons -the smaller group size (16 max), the longer duration (12 days) which meant 2 night stays at most camp sites and more time to explore the region, the fact there were 2 tour guides (a married couple) and the cost. As you can read above, we were not disappointed. Note that this is not "glamping". You are sleeping in a canvas tent, on a swag and using shared toilet/shower facilities. Having said that, it is a comfortable experience and the meals are delicious, healthy and generous. The tour guides lead you on a number of walks, some of which are over rocky terrain but you can set your own pace or opt out if it is too challenging. There are a number of optional add-on tours (conducted by other providers, for additional cost) but these are entirely optional and there is certainly no pressure to take up these offers (and the Kimberley experience with Adventure Wild is still very rich without them). We do, however, highly recommend the Triple J Tours' Ord River Cruise. Overall, we could not fault our experience with Adventure Wild and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to experience The Kimberley but can cope without a bed and ensuite for 11 nights.

My husband and I had the most amazing holiday with Adventure Wild recently and I have already said I want to do it again sometime, because our tour guides and the whole experience was among one of the best holidays we have had. You need a reasonable level of fitness and willingness to walk and climb rocks (although you could decline the tough stuff if you wish) and you must be okay with sleeping in a swag in a tent and getting dusty to enjoy this experience, but if you can manage all that then I say do the tour because the gorges are well worth the walks and swimming in them at the end of a long hike is icing on the cake. The pricing of this tour was amazing and no single supplement charge so single older women (& men) can easily go and don't even have to share a tent. We loved it and we do a fair bit of traveling and at different levels of "comfort" - this was not the most comfortable, but it was easily one of the most enjoyable.

Congratulations Adventure Wild for managing and arranging such exceptional tours showcasing so many amazing features of the Kimberley region. We enjoyed every moment of our tour with our guides Carmel and Mark; outstanding commentary and knowledge of the area, brilliant meals, and such fun, positive, passionate people. Carmel and Mark are great ambassadors for Adventure Wild! The 12 day itinerary included all of the natural attractions of the Kimberley that we were keen to see. We whole heartily would recommend this tour and this company.
