Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an amazing adventure! We booked on a small group accommodated tour which was to be 8 people and a driver/guide. We ended up being us and one other couple and an excellent professional and passionate driver guide - Steve. So much fun, at a great pace and we got to experience so many wonders of the Kimberley up close and personally. The itinerary was very interesting and there was something different everyday. Steve looked after us like we were his best mates and his knowledge and joy for the Kimberley was wonderful. The accommodation was superb and we particularly enjoyed the glamping. Thanks Outback Horizons for a truly fabulous trip of a lifetime.

It was an amazing experience. Everything was taken care of, we had amazing food, spacious tents and the air mattresses were very comfortable. Bryce is an amazing person, always available and ready to answer any question and you can tell he loves the Kimberley and his job and our two guides Clancy and Steve were simply fantastic, very professional, passionate and prepared. They also helped us understand more about the aboriginal communities.
The itinerary covered all the highlights of the Kimberley. I couldn’t have chosen a better tour company. I will definitely book other tours with them in the future.

We had a great trip and loved every day of it. Our days were full of activities and the scenery was magnificent. The two walks with the Aboriginal Guides were a highlight. Our tour guides Clancy and Steve were hard working, professional, safe and fun. The camping mattresses were comfortable and the food very good. We would highly recommend Outback Horizons.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!! Have just returned from this amazing adventure and it was the most sensational trip! From our early morning pick up to the time we arrived back in Broome the trip was filled with laughter and unforgettable sights, sounds and memorable experiences. I can't fault a thing!

Thanks to Clancy and Steve for their organisation, attention to detail, well planned itinerary, amazing food and great company! These guys work so hard and nothing is too much trouble for them. They made everything so comfortable and easy. Backed up by Bryce, they are a great team!

Thanks to the weather Gods for raining a couple of weeks before our trip! This meant we saw waterfalls flowing with heaps of water and a very green Kimberley region. Most memorable was Bells and Manning River Gorge, Mitchell Plateau and Purnululu. Thanks to Purnululu guide and elder Bec for welcoming us to her country in the most moving of ceremonies.

My fellow travellers were awesome and it was great to meet so many wonderful people to share the experience with!

The best thing to do for yourself is to book this trip. It will be one of the best things you can ever do! Highly, highly recommend it!

We loved everything about our trip! Clancy and Steve were knowledgeable about all of the places we visited, including the local indigenous culture. They were patient, funny and great cooks. This tour included indigenous guides on 2 trips. Bec's songs in Cathedral Gorge were so moving.

Every day we visited somewhere exceptional. Extras such as sunset champagne and nibbles at a couple of sites was a fabulous way to finish the day. The tents, mattresses and sleeping bags were really comfortable. Great food and plenty of ice-cold water.

Highly recommended!

Recipe for a perfect Kimberley tour
1/ forge agreement with a group of friends (11+) to a private tour with Outback Horizons. Allows you to tailor the tour to the group's preferences
2/ having done your own research, liaise with Bryce and carefully consider his suggestions - he has tested many variations of undertaking The Gibb and knows his stuff
- this includes minimising of one night stays and not trying to cram everything into one trip, while also doing justice to the most epic locations, e.g. very glad we were persuaded to spend 3 nights at both Purnululu (Bungles) and El Questro
3/ apply YOLO principles to the expense – once you’re on the trip and understand what you’re getting for your money, it is great value
4/ throw in Clancy and Steve as your driver/guides/chefs
- join local boy/man Clancy in bombing competitions off rocks, but also observe him adroitly managing group dynamics; always with humour
- while Steve is not as funny as Clancy (sorry Steve), he has a great depth and breadth of knowledge of the natural and cultural features of the Kimberley; both are very respectful of culture and country
5/ add wonderful guest guides at key times – at Purnululu, aboriginal guide Bec had us amused and enthralled, and also touched our hearts
6/ have Bryce behind the scenes pre-empting and mitigating external provider errors, minimising any inconvenience – extraordinarily responsive and effective
7/ then submit to the magic of the Kimberley

Outback Horizons provided a truly memorable holiday experience for a group of friends travelling to the Kimberley. Bryce accommodated changes that arose and we enjoyed the private 17 day Kimberley tour.
We appreciated the mixture of camping in tents and tented cabins at El Questro.
The vehicle used was comfortable and roomy for our gear. Guides Clancy and Steve were efficient and engaged well with the group sharing their passion for and knowledge of the Kimberley and Aboriginal culture.
My husband and I would highly recommend Outback Horizons.

We recently enjoyed a fabulous guided tour of the Kimberley's with Outback Horizons. It was the best way to see this remote part of Australia with everything taken care of, all we had to do was enjoy the amazing places we were taken to see. Steve our wonderful guide shared his love and passion for the area and went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and happy.
This was one of the best holidays we have ever taken and we are forever grateful to Bryce and his team for providing such a fantastic experience.
Highly recommend Outback Horizons.
