This tour is exceptional. Bart’s local and historical knowledge of his land, his people and the impact of white explorers is bottomless. The history of pearling and it’s impact on local flora, fauna and geography is well-explained. Reef-walking boots are provided so you can get...More

Bart is brilliant. My daughter said to me during the tour, “When Steve Backshall came to Broome, he should have done one of Bart’s tours.” She was right, and so should anyone else coming to Broome. P.S. Steve Backshall is host of various popular nature...More

The tour was excellent. Bart was knowledgeable, willing to answer questions and friendly. A great insight into indigenous culture and history as well as the broader history of Broome. Be prepared to get a bit muddy and hot but well worth the effort.

Great, authentic experience with Bart. Really enjoyed wandering through the mangroves and learning about the multitude of bush food plants right there.

Hi Cindy, I don't actually offer the crabbing experience on the mangrove tour. There are a couple mud crab holes that I demonstrate how to look for a mud crab but because it is unsustainable to take a mud crab every tour, I... More
