Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

AC/DC have the reputation for being Australia's greatest hard rock band. AC/DC are known throughout the world for their rock and roll performances. AC/DC Lane commemorates these hard rockers. The AC/DC Lane runs off Linders Lane, between Russell St and Exhibition St. Seek and ye shall find.

When you're already walking around corners, take a look at this too. AC/DC theme on every wall, as you can see from the pictures.

Along with the tribute to ACDC there was plenty of graffiti to take pictures of and with and it was one of the less crowded lanes we went to when we were in Melbourne.

It's a must do when in Melbourne. Although I perhaps expected something different, it's still a great experience.
There is a self-walk tour - information is available at the tourist information centre.

Given that it is called AC/DC Lane, one could expect lots of AC/DC street art but I counted just 4 pieces. There seemed to be more art of other musicians, street art and the usual spoiling of delinquent graffiti. As someone who grew up with their music, this lane was a let down.

Ever changing art display in AC/DC Lane. The paintings are less graffitied than in other lanes so art work is better. It wraps around to Duckboard Place and is worth a look if passing by.
Great for street artists to have this outlet in the city.

There's nothing there except some normal graphites. You can just pass this lane in some minutes to go to another street :))

It is just a few mins walk from Duckboard place.
Again, this is street art?
We happened to see some artist painting a "raw picture" in that hot afternoon.

Put your ear pods in and blast some dirty deeds.
Take some time to admire the excellent artwork. Shame the walkway isn’t kept in better condition, be careful not to trip over an empty VB, uneven and pretty worn down in some areas. Well lit with natural light, we visited around 11am on a pretty gloomy Melbourne day.
