Perhaps there's more on the weekends. Doesn't have much to shout about but I would imagine this as a lace for a nice stroll for those staying around or even those wanting to have a rest over from work

This short but sweet walk is just a 2 min walk from Federation Square. Birrarung Marr is on the Yarra River's north bank next to Federation Square and is Melbourne's newest major park. Great opportunity to take photo of the city’s skyline. The park has...More

It is pleasant to wander along the river here and, for the kids, there is a big playground with sand pit and grassy hills to tire themselves on. There is quite a bit of public art to break up the monotony. It is close to...More

You walk through this from Federation Square to Rod Laver Arena and MCG but linger awhile and listen to the bells which ring from 8am to 9am and again at 12.30 to 1.30pm and lastly at 5 to 6pm. Very contemporary design and music

Birrarung Marr means "riverbank" in the language of the Wurundjeri people, the indigenous inhabitants of this area. It's one of Melbourne's newest parks. Birrarung Marr is especially popular in summer, when the people of Melbourne like to go for a stroll along the River Yarra....More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
