What a brilliant day!! My partner & I have just returned from a 'Melbourne Encountour' tour & can't rave enough about what a great afternoon we have had. We now live in Melbourne but are always keen to make the most out of our weekends so decided to book ourselves on the "lifestyles of the rich & famous tour, to see how the other half live.
Kel the tour guide was one of the highlights! He was incredibly friendly & seemed to know everything there is to know about Melbourne society. We have some friends coming out from the U.K next month & are booking the "Sporting Brass, meets Bayside Class"
I can't recommend this tour highly enough!

A great three hours spent with Kel driving through some of Melbournes eastern suburbs showing you a real insight into a wealthy area of Melbourne. Started with a drive through the city in a 12 seater mini bus, then we saw a multitude of private schools in the area and even drove through one of them and admired the sports grounds and a fantastic view of Melbourne City. We walked along the Yarra river and saw the back of mansions with private boat jetties, along the way we were shown houses that various well known Australians live, and we even looked through a new very palatial display home. While all the time Kel was telling us about Melbournes history. A quick coffee stop at one of Melbournes oldest homes "Como" while strolling through its gardens.
I'm from Melbourne and was surprised at what I didn't know excisted under my own nose!

Was lucky enough to get on this Melbourne city Cultural Capital tour with ‘I’ am free tours’ today 21/11/22, Daniel our tour guide took us all around some very interesting areas of Melbourne which otherwise we would have known about had we not been on this tour. We all had an amazing time going through the buildings, lanes etc.
it’s worth going on this tour.

This tour is great for someone who does not live in Melbourne. Going into TOORAK and seeing the mansions and posh private schools was amazing! Something you wouldnt get to do yourself.
Having KEL as a tour guide was fantastic he is very knowledgeable and gives great insight into the local millionaires(...and billionaires) lives..He is very patient, pleasant and polite. I would recommend this tour also for people looking to move to Melbourne or looking to send their children to school here.. All i can say is make sure you have money before you even think of sending your child there.😅

Melbourne Encountour certainly showed us what it is like 15 kilometres from Melbournes CBD. Our tour took 3 hours taking us through the Sporting areas which Melbourne is known for. Enjoyed our stop off in St Kilda before visiting the iconic Bathing Boxes in Brighton. They are certainly worth a visit and to see it this way, saved the hassle of catching public transport. Thanks Melbourne Encountour - lots of fun. The Van was extremely clean, the driver's knowledge was outstanding and I will certainly be recommending this tour to family and friends visiting from Hobart.

Fabulous Tour. Our family booked the Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous and found Kel's knowledge was outstanding. Next time we are in Melbourne, we will certainly book another one of Melbourne Encountour tours. The tour time of 3.5 hours was just perfect as we had other commitments in the evening.
The Van was clean and comfortable, bottled water supplied for us all (family of 5), noticed sunscreen was provided and a gift too. Looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you!

It is reassuring for us to know our tour retained the whole family's interest without being too long to restrict your enjoyment of other activities while in Melbourne.

I have to admit, when my partner told me he had booked us a day with Melbourne Encountour, I was a little concerned. Having lived in Melbourne all my life, I was convinced I wasn't going to be taught or shown anything I hadn't seen before....well that turned out to be totally incorrect.

Our tour guides Kel and Melissa, were delightful people, full of so much knowledge about the history of Melbourne. The 3 hour tour took us to places where we must admit, we would have driven by hundreds of times, Within their beautifully clean and comfortable tour van, Kel and Melissa in this instance, amazed us with what lay within the history of the landmarks visited and the people associated with them.

Thanks for a great day out Kel and Melissa. You helped us see Melbourne through a different set of eyes, and we would happily recommend it to anyone who wants to be shown and experience our beautiful city. You kept us engaged and we left satisfied that it was money well spent.

Nothing delights us more than impressing Melbourne people when they are on tour in their own city. Melbournians are discerning yet honest and won't endorse anything unless it is the "real deal". Our heartfelt thanks to you Lea.
