Lovely sunny day

We took a nice walk out to the end of the pier to the restaurant , Look for the starfish on the way.

I just find St Kikda overrated and not the best part if Melbourne to visit. There are better views from other parts of Melbourne than this pier. A long walk for not much reward

Had a sunny day so caught tram to St Kildas. Walked along pier and stopped for coffee at the end. Bit breezy, but lovely views back to Melbourne.

It's always a meeting or stopping point for locals who wish to walk along St Kilda Road. On a blue sky day, it's beautiful & on a windy day, you know it's grey & windy. Can't honestly tell the overseas travellers that it's a must-go....More

It was a good way to see Melbourne from a different perspective. Unfortunately the penguins were out today, oh well.

As it is v cold and windy, I don't advise you to be there too early. We went there past 7pm, we still managed to see quite many. Look out for the marshals, they are there to guide you and point out the penguins to you. Have... More

I'd go for the tram because it is so cheap and easy. A taxi could cost a lot if the traffic is thick but probably $20-$30. You could always ask the taxi driver and if it's too expensive just get on the tram :)
