I had been dabbling in the manual mode of my DSLR camera on and off over the years but needed someone to put things in a better perspective for me as it can be so confusing trying to understand all the lingo of aperture, shutter speed, etc and when you tend to just whip out the iPhone for a quick snap, it's easy to forget the world of manual mode on the DSLR. I decided to take the Photography Beginners Masterclass last week and ended up being the only participant so got a full 3.5 hour lesson with Daniel. Daniel broke things down into simple chunks so you could see the effects of using varying iso, aperture and shutter speeds and how one impacts the other. Eventually the penny drops and you wonder why you haven't been using manual mode all the time! Thanks for accommodating my son tagging along as my camera assistant too Daniel! Highly recommend a class with DJB Photography School.

I have owned my DSLR for over 12 months and have taken thousands of happy snaps - not photos. After two hours with a very patient Daniel I’m so excited as now I can take an actual photo to be proud of. Daniel taught me the basics of speed Fstop and ISO with practical practice while exploring Melbourne streets. Not once was I made to feel silly or stupid during the session - questions were always welcome. I will definitely re-book when next in Melbourne as I have so much more to learn and his experience, knowledge and professionalism is supreme. Book the tour - be open to learning - you won’t be disappointed. - FYI I purchased through trip advisor- no problems received conformation email immediately and further communication via direct text messages with Daniel.

After the initial late start due to a mix-up with the booking system, Daniel more than made up for it with his contagious enthusiasm and approachability during my one-on-one informative session with him. Learning about long exposures and light painting was so cool and a whole lot of fun! I highly recommend this course and if you’re lucky enough to have Daniel as your mentor, you will enjoy and not regret it!

We thoroughly enjoyed, and recommend, the travel photography walk with Daniel. It was 2 hours well spent. Daniel is extremely knowledgable, pitched his advice to our level of experience, and explained things in a really clear and practical way. Plus we got to explore some parts of the city a little. Highly recommended.

My 10 year old granddaughter and I met Jon at South Perth and walked along the foreshore with the view of the Perth city skyline across the Swan River. As we were both complete beginners Jon explained how to use our camera's settings for different types of photos. Only two of us had booked the course, many other companies would have cancelled us, so we had undivided attention. We were all so taken up with our photography we ran well over the two hours and didn't want to finish. Thank you Jon especially for all the information and advice to Amelia
