Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At the top of the deck, you can get a great view of the city. Stay for sunset and get a magnificant view.

This is a must do, you get to see all of Melbourne from a different perspective. We only did the basic admission, you still get to walk outside onto a caged platform and for us that was good but cold.

Took the "Cocktails in the Clouds" package which included admission to the Skydeck, the Voyager Theatre experience, and a cocktail at Bar 88. The Skydeck is an observation deck 88 floors up in the air where you can get 360-degree views across Melbourne. There are multiple viewfinders to help you pinpoint numerous significant landmarks around the city. The 6-D Voyager Theatre experience is where virtual reality ‘pod’ chairs take you on an immersive trip through 16 iconic Melbourne experiences that are unbelievably realistic. Finish your trip with a cocktail - what a great way to spend an afternoon.

This high rise experience was slightly difficult to find, the directions weren’t brilliant.
The actual experience was good but very low key for the basic ticket, compared with towers such as those in New York. Visibility out the windows was fairly good but a lot of glare meant photos weren’t great.

You get such amazing and unexpected views of the city from up here! I would absolutely recommend it if you’re touring Melbourne. The one in Gold Coast is better though as they have clearer windows, less glazing and shading so you can view the city with a clearer vision. The Gold Coast one also has a nice seating area that’s part of the cafe. You can sit and snack on a wide menu of options. This Melbourne one had a super small kiosk and the seats are literally reserved for its customers which is a bit strange.
But overall great views!

This is an experience I would totally recommend doing whilst in Melbourne. Admission to the Skydeck was simple and the lift was quick and smooth. The views from the 88th floor were spectacular. Our toasted sandwiches and cocktails were very tasty. Unfortunately, our experience at Bar 88 was spoilt by the long wait for the cocktails and even longer wait for the sandwiches whilst the very rude and immature bar staff (who looked 18 and acted 14) chatted and joked amongst themselves very loudly.

Hi. Just checking that the VR theatre experience is suitable for those who wear glasses. Imagine it would be but can't help think of the old 3D cardboard movie glasses!
As an aside, online concession prices all appear to be the same as adult prices. Thought I might be missing something. Thanks.

Not sure whether this is too late, but I remember one of my friends who was wearing glasses coming with us. I think he also enjoyed the experience.

Coming over april 23rd off a cruise ship for the day. Do you need to book tickets for eureka sykydeck 10 am?

We were able to buy tickets and walk right in but that could have just been timing. My ticket to the Edge experience was bought upstairs and I waited 30 minutes. The SkyDeck is great but the Edge Experience was disappointing.
Can you purchase tickets on the day at the front desk to enter the skydeck? Or does it have to be done online?

Yes, you can purchase tickets on the day from the front desk. Enjoy the view 😃
Hi I was wondering if someone isn’t participating in going into the edge cube, would they be able to take photos on their phone if they were perhaps to stand opposite us, but not inside the cube. Sorry i’ve never been. Thanks

I'm sort of amazed at the conflict in answers here. Firstly, you must surrender mobiles before you go to Skydeck. Secondly, when anyone goes into the cube, the windows are all masked so at that time you can't see out of the cube. The cube doors are closed and eventually the windows are made to see through. There is no way that you are going to get a picture from outside the cube of anyone in it showing the windows clear and the city below
Can you buy tickets on the day

We did just 10 days ago and had no problem. There was no line. If you get one of those Melbourne tourist booklets that they give out at hotels, there is a coupon in there that will save you 10%.

Hi. Which ticket should I buy to include the Vertigo? Cause on the website I can only select skydeck and the edge. Thank you.

Hey! The shoe covers are really stretchy, we have never had a customer who didn't fit! If they don't, you are welcome to wear your own socks. :)
