The centre run by the town council provide detailed information on places of interest in and around Melbourne. UNFORTUNATELY the centre is no longer at the Prudential Square. It has recently shifted to The Town Hall. Just a short walk.

The volunteers who are at this centre are friendly and patient and extremely helpful. Nothing is to much trouble and they have maps and advice too.

The Melbourne Visitor Centre has closed as it will become part of the new underground Town Hall railway station. It has been replaced by the Melbourne Visitor Hub at the Melbourne Town Hall on the corner of Swanston St and Flinders Lane.

It is a very chill place to hangout during winter and as you walk you will come to a river and bridges and you can cycle too!

throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
