Stunning architecture and tile design on the floor but every shop had a 10cm step up into the shop which excludes wheelchair users from shopping.

Very easy to find, and spend an hour or so browsing and enjoying the clocks and beautiful interior. Quaint shops and coffee shops add to the elegance of this gem

The Block Arcade is beautiful. From tessellated floor tiles to little exquisite shops offering everything from gorgeous costume jewelry (or the real bling), chocolates, old world children’s toys to macaroons, this is the place to browse and spend.

The wonderful light and architecture here makes this a must-see / must-photograph spot in Melbourne. But the collection of shops is nothing too special. Worth a detour if you are walking around in the CBD just to spend a few minutes taking a look.

This is one of my favourite spots to visit when in Melbourne. Some lovely shops with lots of interesting items to discover, and some wonderful chocolates to find at Koko Black.

This is a must see in MEL. The hallways and passages and quaint little specialty stores are well conserved. You must sit down to coffee and snack while people watching. It was the highlight of my trip. I will definitely return again.

In the big picture, I suggest starting at the downtown Southern Cross Station, where there is an office where a nice person will answer all of your questions, give you maps, and sell you a Myki card, if you want. If you are... More
