About
Known as the New York end of Collins Street, our newest store is located at 495 Collins Street, just next door to the Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto Hotel in the heart of Melbourne’s financial district. It is our sixth Melbourne store, and fourth in the CBD after we first opened at the Paris end of Collins Street in 1965. Located within a heritage listed Queen Anne style building that dates back to the late 1800’s, the architecture is a perfect fit for Haigh’s. Whether you are staying in the hotel, or visiting the busy Docklands, our team are ready to help you find something delicious at one of our largest stores.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a cute shop that sells upper priced chocolate and is packaged very nicely. They will offer you a free dark or milk peice of chocolate.

The selection of chocolates from this South Australian chocolate company is amazing. I'm a Dark Chocolate fiend and they offer a fantastic selection, makes choosing just one bag really difficult.

Wonderful Christmas gift selection that caters for a broad range for chocolate lovers, gift boxes & hampers are beautifully presented, so there is no further gift wrapping - a plus. If you can't decide on a selection then there is always a Haigh's Gift Card, which starts from $30+ again its beautifully presented and they also do Digital Gift Cards for the last minute gifts.

Samples are lovingly proffered and smiling staff extend your taste experience with aplomb. Great sensations for all the nations with sweet, sour and peppery tastings.

Big Haigh's fan for over 17 years, good quality chocolate. Interesting use of tropical Australian products as well. Samples are given out, a great indulgence.

The staff are always busy but polite, I probably go in for samples quite often as I walked past. But any time I have a friend from out of town or I am headed to a special party I will buy from this store.
