Don't miss this! We flew across Melbourne for my husband's 50th birthday. What a beautiful morning and what a magical experience! We could see for miles; sunrise on the city, Melbourne parklands and the Yarra River, other balloonists out over the Yarra Valley, Port Phillip Bay and Westernport Bay, Geelong and windfarms near Meredith. Balloonman Chris is an experienced and professional balloonist, photographer and a fun guide. Included in the flight price are great images and video that the Balloonman team will get back to you on the day of your flight so you can sit back and enjoy the experience, and share it with your friends later. We also received a lovely certificate of flight. We recommend the champagne breakfast experience after the flight for a truly memorable experience. The Balloonman team booked a private dining room with our fellow balloonists at the Grand Hyatt Hotel for a delicious five star breakfast and a great way to celebrate the experience.

The sunrise balloon trip over Melbourne was an 80th birthday celebration. The weather cooperated and Chris was a fantastic pilot, directing the balloon safely and professionally across the edge of the city. He was informative and provided bits of detail about things below us as well as the history of ballooning.
Chris takes lots of photos and video and these are provided free of charge to travellers. His company takes care not only of the balloon and the safety of the passengers but also ensures that there is little evidence of the balloon's departure and arrival - he filled in the divots in Fawkner Park which occurred during landing in the muddy field.
This was a magical experience and we truly recommend to everyone.
Chris takes lots of photos and video and these are provided free of charge to travellers. His company takes care not only of the balloon and the safety of the passengers but also ensures that there is little evidence of the balloon's departure and arrival - he filled in the divots in Fawkner Park which occurred during landing in the muddy field.

For our 25th wedding anniversary we decided to fly over Melbourne. The Balloon Man team provided us with an incredibly memorable experience. The process was professional and the sight of multiple balloons at sunrise over the city was breath taking. What are you waiting for?

All round a great experience. My 70th Birthday present. Our pilot Chris made everyone comfortable and explained everything clearly with a little humour thrown in.
The light wind meant It wasn't the best of conditions so we didn't go very far but we did go above the clouds to witness a beautiful sunrise and we stayed afloat (1hr 22m) longer than the other balloons that left the same time.
Some effort and teamwork was required to pack up the balloon so I was in need of a good breakfast afterwards and the Hyatt Kitchen didn't disappoint. Well worth the extra.
My first balloon flight and certainly not my last with Balloonman.
The Youtube video of our flight was a bonus I hadn't expected.

What an awesome experience. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a balloon flight over Melbourne and it was outstanding. Chris, (our pilot) was the consummate professional and made us feel welcome from the early morning wake up call, to meeting in the lobby to the flight experience and finally breakfast. An outstanding person. From set up, to the flight and views, to the Grand Hyatt breakfast, the day could not be more perfect. Chris hosted the breakfast and shared some history of ballooning and 'other stories', which generated some laughs. I cannot recommend BalloonMan highly. On behalf of my wife and I, thank you Chris for a memorable day. Will definitely be going again.

We departed on time from Westerfolds Park. We flew over the outskirts of Melbourne. Peter our pilot was fantastic, he was knowledgeable and conversational when needed and quiet when appropriate. We flew at great heights and landed in Heatheron. We finished with a great breakfast at the Hyatt. We had such an aamazing time and would highly recommend

Getting up a 4am is well worth it for this adventure. Our pilot Chris was awesome, and a bit of a prankster! The views of Melbourne City in the early morning are amazing. You float serenely past the city, picking out landmarks, and land in a park. We didn't book in for the champagne breakfast but believe its awesome too.

Fabulous experience with a great host. Thanks to Chris,Harry and Jeremy for an experience of a lifetime. Would definitely recommend and plan to go again soon. Enjoyed being part of the crew and observing the guys do their stuff navigating the balloon through the Melbourne skies.

The Melbourne hot air balloon experience was an unforgettable adventure that allowed me to see this beautiful city from the air. The weather was average and there was no sun. The crew on the hot air balloon were very professional and friendly, ensuring our safety and comfort. This trip gave me a new understanding and respect for Melbourne. After landing, we also received a souvenir photo and certificate as a commemoration of this wonderful experience. Overall, this was a worthwhile and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see Melbourne from a different perspective.

Great morning balloon flight with pilot Chris over the city. What a wonderful experience. He covered safety and set expectations and did so in a fun way, reassuring us and making us all feel part of the group adventure. Easy pick up and drive to the launch site, and return trip after landing. I certainly recommend the Balloon Man for anyone interested in spectacular experiences.

Not sure re cost I think it's about $350 pp
Duration will always depend on the wind but from pickup from the hotel to return about 5 hrs with flight time around 1:5 - 2 hrs

Thank you for your inquiry.
We offer complimentary Hotel pickup from inner city hotels only.
Your daughter would need to make her own way to our departure point at Grand Hyatt. We then transport our passengers from the Grand Hyatt to the appropriate launch site, which determined by the prevailing wind on the day, as is our flight path and landing site.
We then transport our passengers from the landing site back to Grand Hyatt where breakfast is served in the Collins Kitchen.

Thank you for your enquiry.
How far in advance, usually depends on the time of year, and the number of passengers,you might be wanting to book. During the cooler months, we would advise 2 to 3 weeks and during the warmer months, 3 to 4 weeks. That is not to say, there wouldn't be spaces available, if you tried to book within the advised time frame, as it's simply a guide, to help save disappointment. The larger your group the more in advance would be advised.
Our normal Premium Flight with breakfast included, is $448pp though we are currently running a Winter Special @ $388pp saving you $60, but this offer end 30th August 2015.
