Good pace to the tour, points out places of interest and history - commendations to the guide who acknowledged our Indigenous Australians and their story throughout the tour.

Having done a few of these, the first disappointment was that they didn't give you a map! Takes around 2 & a half hours with a 10 minute break in the middle that is not enough time for the toilet & a coffee. Seemed to...More

A fantastic way to learn a lot about Melbourne! Our tour guide Astrid was really friendly and knowledgable - we discovered loads of new things about Melbourne’s history and culture. We especially liked Astrid’s bar/restaurant recommendations (the veggie place she suggested was amazing and great...More

Did a walking tour with our guide Bec, she was great! Very informed and knew her City well. Not sure how it could get much better if you paid more. Was initially worried about the group size and noise and if I would miss some...More

I have done about 20 of these this year and this was the most disappointing. Started late with a break in the middle that wastes time. Seemed to walk by major landmarks without saying much. Pity it didn’t go to botanical gardens.

Great way to get a feel for the city - the perfect balance of history and tourist stops. Lasts about 3hr so wear your walking shoes!

Went on the Melbourne sights free tour on 29 Nov at 230pm. Interesting tour tho 2.5h may be a tad long. Guide had deprecating humor, which is often great but it got tiring after 2 hours. Every thing was "bad" about Melbourne, according to her...More

tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

About 2 1/2 to 3 hours but you can leave at anytime but I would recommend you stay to end to see the sites from the opposite side of the river from roof of opera house.

Good question. We just saw from the outside. I guess the tour would take a very long time if you went inside every attraction. The best part is, after the tour you would know which ones you'd like to go back to and... More
