Description:

Port Campbell National Park is world famous for its extraordinary...

Port Campbell National Park is world famous for its extraordinary collection of wave-sculpted rock formations and the Twelve Apostles. Loch Ard Gorge, site of the 19th century shipwreck 'Loch Ard', as well as the Island Archway and London Bridge are other highlights. The Island Archway collapsed in 2009, highlighting the fragile and ever-changing nature of Victoria's coastline. Start your visit by heading to the Twelve Apostles Kiosk and Carpark before taking the walk to view the amazing Twelve Apostles coastline. The site offers kiosk, information, shelter and toilets. Walk the short distance (500m) through a tunnel under the Great Ocean Road to various lookouts offering expansive, breathtaking views. From the Twelve Apostles carpark there is also an easy 2.2km return walk to Gibson Steps Lookout. The lookout is above the beach with excellent views East and West. Port Campbell National Park lies between Princetown and Peterborough, 285 km west of Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road (4-5 hours drive), and 240 km from Melbourne via Colac.

Spent a wonderful day along the great ocean road and surf coast with Bush to Ocean Road tours. The tour was very flexible and took in all of the famous coastal sites.

We visited Great Ocean Road as part of a small tour group. We visited a site where we saw some Koalas in trees, a rainforest and of course the Twelve Apostles. Our guide / driver was excellent knowing the best time to visit the Twelve Apostles to avoid the crowds which were large. A long days driving but well worth... More

The 12 Apostles are an absolute must see when you visit Victoria. The drive is long and you would be best to break it up by a stop over in Lorne or somewhere along the Great Ocean Rd. The journey is beautiful and the views are spectacular. It was the highlight of our trip.

It was quite a drive to the Twelve Apostles, although after the trip I just realized/learned that its only eight now. So, this saves you counting and thinking you missed it. Anyway, the ride from Melbourne city center was approximately 3hrs drive. But along the way, its very amazing to see some breath taking views and can stop to take... More

It's a really great drive... so much to see. The vastness of the southern Ocean really impacts you.if you look as far as the eye can see the water provides a plethora of visuals..boats..whales...dolphins...surfers huge waves..two top spots are Lorne and bells beach. Traffic is slow on weekends...but who cares...its holiday time..
