Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

    Children love Bluey
The Myer Christmas windows are a Melbourne tradition that has delighted generations of local children. This year the star is Bluey. Bluey is a cartoon character based on an energetic six-year-old Blue Heeler. Bluey has been a big hit for the ABC, children love her.

    Myer is undergoing a revival
Myer remains the leading Melbourne department store; Myer aims at serving all customers well. Myer is well-known for its fashions, in which it remains a market leader. Many of the fashions are "sole brands," which are unique to Myer. Myer has gone through a revival; it appeals to middle and upper markets. Brunetti is a feature of the Bourke St store, where you can get a coffee and cake while you take a break from shopping. Myer has shone as a business; its stock price is undergoing a revival. By the way, Myer has retained its traditions, such as the Christmas windows, which featured the beloved Bluey this year.

Myer is an upmarket Australian department store that trades in all Australian states and also the ACT.(the only chain in all states and he largest). The building was built in 1932-1933. This helped Victoria in the recovery from the Great Depression. The first building was opened in 1914 and the steel frame still survives in the current building. The facade constructed in bright white snow crete is a striking example of vertical commercial Gothic. The external clock is a land mark for its immense scale.
The Mural Hall on the sixth floor open on Melbourne Open Days and booked for special occasions has Napier Waller Murals and is National Trust classified. It is dining at its finest an homage to the Arts, the Seasons and to Women and their achievements. Napier Waller also did the fire murals in the Fire station in East Melbourne and Newspaper House in Collins Street.
The Myer windows for the last 60 years are a tourist attraction in themselves and go from the middle of November to the start of January each year.
Myer Lonsdale Street is now the Emporium. There used t be a Bargain basement which had bargains and Boxing Day sales and Half Year Sales after June 30 you can also pick up a bargain.
There is a saying more front than Myer and the Bourke Street front is the grandest in Melbourne. It is on the Victorian Heritage Register
Jennifer Hawkins , Miss Universe 2004 was the face of Myer from 2006 to 2018 for 12 years.

With Christmas around the corner, Myer has miraculously sprang back to life after the lockdown. Customers have money to spend and we are reassured that the renowned Myer Christmas windows will be exposed soon. Melbourne wouldn't be the same without Myer.

Myer is a substantial .department store in the central Melbourne. Myer is a Melbourne institution. Myer is the shopping destination of choice for Melbourne's middle classes. Myer stocks good quality, affordable merchandise. The mainstay range is men's and women's apparel. The basement has active wear, and most of the busy ground floor is given over to cosmetics. Since an extensive upgrade, Myer has become much more attractive as a venue for shopping. The iconic Mural Hall on the top floor is a feature of central Melbourne

Like many Victorians I have childhood memories of visiting this window display when we visited city. Now that I have my own young kids I love to venture here to show them the wonders of Christmas. This year it’s the story of Peter Rabbit. Which my son loves bcos he’s obsessed with rabbits. A Melb institution that’s been around for generations and still continues to wow.

For the first time I was very disappointed in the Myer Christmas windows. It looked like some of the characters were not working and the scenes were very basic. It looked like they had run out of money to put on the normal standard of the windows. Plus they really need crowd control especially where you turn to start being close to the windows as after waiting in line for a hour to have people just push their way in was very frustrating.

Myer Has changed greatly, I used to like dealing with Myer but No more and especially online orders.
I purchased a bed from Myers - cancelled Order due to the company that was supposed to deliver my bed didn't even attempt to deliver the bed, said that no one was home, which I was, and said that they wrote a card with information to contacting the delivery company, No Card, So I cancelled. for over two weeks I haven't seen my money back from Myers - Myers is outsourcing to different companies and are trusting there non responsible companies, You have changed MYERS and will not purchase anything anymore from you from online.

Had the worst experience with Carla the customer assistant in Myer Melbourne ..

The rudest, most unfriendly, most terrible person i have ever met..I was behind the register ready to pay and she approached me with a “Yes?!!” as if i have disturbed her and her colleague chatting about their personal lives..

She was not happy serving me,giving me faces, like what have i done to you?!!

The dress i was buying had 25% off but she didn’t want to help me as she said she works only in Cue and i am more than welcome to ask someone else! I was shocked.. 😳
I ended up paying the full amount but the second i got away from her,i asked someone’s help, the new lady help me refund my money and gave me the 25% off..

Tha lady from Cue, 15th October 2024,
3-4pm..
I hope you are happy with your life Miss..

This is no longer Myer Lonsdale Street store as is now the Emmporium and the photo is of Myer Bourke Street store which I just did a review as there was none. This whould be deleted now as not accurate. The Emporium is very elegant and links on with Melbourne Central and there is a walk way from the Bourke Street store to whatw as the Lonsdale Street store. Imagine more than 14 floors with both stores but now only one. It was always hard to know which store and luckily they had a store directory and I think the Lonsdale Street store had Santa's Kingdom at Christmas time
