Our first store to open in Melbourne back in the 1960s, 26 Collins Street...

Our first store to open in Melbourne back in the 1960s, 26 Collins Street is located at the top end of town otherwise known as ‘The Paris End’. The store has a design element of a Paris boutique and is very popular with corporate Melbourne. Our team often provide chocolates to nearby 5-star hotels including the famous Windsor, and also to the parliamentarians from just around the corner in Spring Street.

Found this place years ago and when I brought my son here for his first Melbourne experience, this is one place he wanted to go for 'hot chocolate' and of course, yummy chocolate

I'm a Haighs super fan after living in Adelaide most of my life. The service here in the Collins St outlet is fantastic, super friendly and quick to offer a free sample after your purchase. I've tried just about every Haighs chocolate under the sun so no need for me to sample !! Where shall I start. Caramel chocs, apri... More

I first visited Haigh's chocolates in Sydney. I bought some orange bits coated in dark chocolate but the orange bits turned out to be gummy candy which wasn't so nice. This time in Melbourne I asked for some orange that wasn't gummy. I got dried/candied orange slices coated in chocolate which was very nice. I also got some chocolate covered... More

We were here more than once during our 6 days. Great place to pick up some gifts and tasty treats. Always well stocked and the price not too bad. Great to pick up some choc gifts esp if you live out of the state. They will pack them as well so that you can take them on the plane.

This was recommended by friends, and turned out to be an outstanding night out. Great food , great atmosphere and fantastic service We asked the waitress for recommendations on the menu, her knowledge of the menu was complete and we followed her suggestions and had a really great meal. They have a lovely variety of chocolates to choose from which look stunning. They do however fall short on taste and at times often just reminded me of Cadbury and the likes. They're pretty expensive too. I'd look for an alternative

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
