Always a good bar to visit. Had a nice Virgin Mary - nicely spiced but had no celery bits etc... The dusted school prawns with dipping sauce / fresh lemon went really well. Was nice and clean as always and staff friendly.

Generally good but sometimes bad. It's a reliable option off Spring St for an ale or two but sometimes it goes awry. Two good g and ts is good. A third that tastes of tonic alone is bad. I'd go to Romeo Lane every time...More

Went in for a look at the memorabilia and ordered a meal. The meal that came was not what I ordered. That was fixed straight away. I was apologised to several times and was given a free beer also. It is how you treat your...More

We walked to the bar from the MCG and it was great. Sat on bar stools overlooking the park across the road. Civilised and not so noisy. Great place to meet up after the football and have a quiet one.

Found this bar after popping into the Windsor Hotel for afternoon tea. Just gone 4pm and it was happy hour so tea went by the wayside. Had a pint (or two) while my wife enjoyed a wine. Very good price during happy hour although still...More

Dropped in here mainly to look around the Windsor Hotel with a view to staying here on our next trip. Started to pour rain so popped into the Cricketer's Bar for a beer and to read their newspapers. Like all places with history the beer...More

We went here twice, as it was close to our hotel and served food which we like. The first time we had steaks and I asked for a side salad which was not on the menu, but it arrived with the meal and was no...More

The only reason I gave this negative rating is due to the poor attitude of staff. Having visited on three separate occasions every time it seems a common theme, don't smile, why are you here mr customer and love checking phones while "on the job"....More

The Cricketers' Bar at The Windsor Hotel is one of the city's historical attractions especially to those of a cricketing bent. Each time I visit for the boxing day test match I make a pilgrimage here to catch up with Melbourne's close links with cricket...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Depends what time you are visiting. I got in with shorts and thongs but it was only early. I would try but have a back up plan (longs & shoes) incase they don't allow you entry. It is a really nice pub that is actually still... More
