The Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne are really beautiful. They are well maintained and easy to get around. There is a wonderful variety of plants, trees and gardens. Check out the restaurant Jardin Tan as it is in the gardens and is a beautiful place for a meal or coffee.

Very elaborate display of all kinds of flowers, shrubs, trees, etc. This is not your typical garden display, as this park goes on and on, with native plants from Australia you will never see elsewhere. We spent over a couple of hours here, and one could easily spend most of a day. And for those who come here and accidentally... More

We visited one sunny spring day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves wandering through the grounds. I thought it was well laid out and clearly you didn’t have to be a “flower lover” to appreciate it. We saw dog walkers, yoga exponents and some ladies doing aerobics in a pagoda. So, whether you have a serious interest in botany or just want... More

We had gone there in the afternoon and it was v pleasant even in the afternoon. There were lots of tourists in the garden. There is boating as added attraction. The atmosphere here is v serene and one can spend lot of time just chilling and lying down. The doves and birds give you company as you open your lunch... More

The gardens are not just a green space but an experience of nature all within a huge city. The trees and gardens are from all over the world and beautifully maintained. There are lots of walkways around the park and very popular with joggers. We took a ride on the horse and cart around the park which was fun.

This free attraction is worth visiting while you are in Melbourne. The gardens are extensive and cover many types of plants from different parts of the world. The New Zealand gardens and the arid gardens are just two examples. Many beautiful ponds and lagoons and some bird including the Bell miner (amazing sound). Did not visit when the gift shops... Fortunately we didn't need to escape from marvellous Melbourne, a city I very much enjoyed spending time in. But the Royal Botanic Gardens were a must, especially as I wanted to compare them with other, similar, attractions elsewhere. I wasn't disappointed and found the gardens well landscaped and with plenty of scope for keen walkers and plant spotters! I enjoyed... More

It's a nice park. If you like plants (I'm not bothered) this might be 5* for you. There's a lovely tea house (spotlessly clean) overlooking the pond that's nice to chill out at. Don't sit under a tree and have the birds decorate you. Compared to an average park in Japan this isn't that amazing but then they do set... More

Just stunning. Loved visiting here with my family, even when the Melbourne weather let us down a little. Everything was gorgeous about this garden must visit again!!
